Estimate please...

If I have a healthy white widow plant, and it is 30" tall when flowering begins, approximately what will my dry yield be? I know there are a lot of contributing factors that would lead to different answers, but I'm just looking for a ballpark number.

Strain: White Widow.
Seeds: Seedbank
Light: 400W MH / 400W HPS
Cycle: 18/6, 12/12
Soil: Ocean Forest/Perlite 50/50
Fert: Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom
Temp: 80F-90F
Flowering: Begins at 30"

I'd guess around 4, depends how much experience you have under your belt.

Wow...4oz! I was expecting peeps to say like 1 or 2oz.... This is my first indoor grow, so I really wouldn't know. I actually have 5 plants, and I'm hoping at least 3 of them turn out to be female. Although it's my first grow, I have invested about $500 bucks to make sure I'm doing everything right, and I have read loads on how to do the indoor thing. Sooooo.... really? 4oz? Per plant?



BTW Here's a pic of where my girls are at... the one in the center is 7 days old, the two at the bottom are 5 days, and the ones on the far left and right are only about 2 days old, because my new puppy gobbled the original ones that were on the far left and right.

Once they get into the Veg and out of seedling, you might want to transplant into a 3 gallon with FF and 20-30% perlite.
Andf if you really want a 3oz per plant, all you have to do is be patient. When the plants reach 18" go 12/12

They are already in 3 gallon pots... with 50% ocean forest, and 50% perlite.... and I plan on flowering when they reach approximately 30"...........

Fim?? ....You mean top the plants?...Cut off the top branch?

This is where to fim, Below. Also look in my photos and Skunk #1 is a good example of what happens when you fim. Follow the life of the skunk and see the difference.

So, it looks like Fimming is to cut the stem just above the top most branches.......i'm going to have to read more about this. Thanks GoldenGanja for introducing me to this method.... I'd never heard of it, and I will certainly look into it.



I'm still baffled that I should expect 4 or more oz per plant....................

Fimming is just topping twice, but at the same time.... And its much harder to do correctly.... And you're gonna get about the same yield regardless, it'll just be more branches with smaller buds. If you veg until 30 in and then go to flower, I would say youll be in the neighborhood of 4oz. but that will be a huge plant.

Fim and top are two opposites. FIm is to take 2/3 rds off from the very newest top leaves, and Top is to take off the top at first node or any node under completely off.
If you follow my fim method, yes you will have 4oz or more. You will have many colas same heigth.
