Ethos Collective "Zsweet Inzanity".............

I left Z.I. in 1L pots until day 20 post crack. Both root balls are prolific. Up top they are wider than tall, might be because of 1L. Am feeding 1ml/L of Old Timers soil & Ionic Soil (1 will be organic & 1 synthetic) 0.5ml/L of cal mag and Mr_danks special boost secret (similar to orthosalicilic acid) PPM'S = 250. I plan to top both once in 4 days time. Then flip (12/12) 4 days after that (day 28) I forgot to mention when I was transferring from paper towel to soil I dropped it from chest height to floor. Its Still going strong. Both are under 200W (actual power draw) full spectrum LED. 3 strains on this run Yellow thumb tacks are Z.I.IMG_20181224_173128_765.jpg IMG_20181223_172507393.jpg IMG_20181226_132450997.jpg

I haven't tried the double ended bulbs, but hear excellent things from others as they are getting up to 25% more yield and the bulbs remain more efficient over a longer period than the single ended ones. I just don't want the expense of adding 2 new fixtures and bulbs right now.......IF i wasn't getting 2+ lbs of each light currently though, I'd switch in a second.

It's definitely something to consider in the future with my next cash windfall.......as my light fixtures are old and not the same make so I have to adjust them differently height wise.

The 2 Zweet Inzanities have been filling their 15L pots for 8 days without incident. Were topped @ day 24 no issue, just less vertical & more sideways growth (now 10cm tall) . A very compact growth so far with big & thick indica fan leaves. Look like images of GG4 I,ve seen. To recap 1 is in an autopot fed from a reservoir (synthetic nutes) & 1 is being hand fed (organic). Full R.O. both with 0.5ml/L of cal mag & a silicone additive. Ppm's for both are 350. PH of all feed @ 5.8. Temps 27oC day 21oC night.
The morning will bring 12/12 flip (day 28). I am very happy they are not too leggy ( one of the other strainsIMG_20190102_220513963.jpg IMG_20190102_220530923.jpg IMG_20190102_220713316.jpg running needed topping 3x as its heading skyward fast) . Leaf rub on ZI gives a deep earth gassy smell. I am in process of updating my ventilation for precaution. The I mages are jnot great but just to give an idea.

They will stretch, just wait........LOL

Purple stems indicate a deficiency normally......(I've removed my previous comment after thinking about this more). It's most likely a magnesium deficiency. Are you adding Cal/mag? Often it also can be caused by the pH being out of whack too, but the plants generally look fine so I'm guessing MG.

Its the ZI in old timers organic only with such pronounced pink stems. I was only half strength on cal mag and feed so I upped them all and also put a splash of bloom in for the heck. She is looking better. Going to try full everything now I've flipped. Thanks for the advice.

Week 2 tomorrow.
The growth in both Zweets has been abundant. At 10-15cm but with dense canopy. LST for now will lollipop at later point. Upped ppms to 500. The one in synthitic is steaming ahead. I think the purple stems on the organic one was due to me being stingy with the feed. (Require more ml/L than synthetic) The original purple stems have not changed but all new growth is looking healthy green with lighter shade on new growth spurts. There is a shade of purp on most of the 3 strains but not like the ZI. Will get pics tonight or tomorrow. Leaf rub is giving a reassuming deep earthy smell.
(I should point out The synthetic one is in an autopot & inside that I placed an airdome this perforated dome sits at base of the pot a t water level. An air pump is connected via tubing supplying oxygenated air to the cavity/dome at bottom) I had seen the proliferation of roots within the dome on my last grow (that a zcube x that hermied) and am interested what difference it could make with a more resilient strain.

Sorry for poor quality pics. Birds eye of both ZI's was pre lights on. I LST them as during 12 on. The smell is subtle but increasingly pungent. Yellow thumd tack is in Organic. You can see difference in the 2.IMG_20190111_015322.jpg IMG_20190111_015311.jpg IMG_20190111_015259.jpg IMG_20190111_015249.jpg

Sshz quick question. The organic fed plant is showing more purple stems on newer growth. Both other strains I'm feeding organic are fine so I am inclined to swap the feed (of Zweet) to the synthetic that the other one is doing well on. Do you foresee any problem if I swap? (1 more week of grow nutes then 50/50 grow/bloom for 1 week before full bloom nutes week 4 flower.

Looks like you still need more Cal/Mag by the crinkle in your some of your leaves..........don’t be afraid to go up to 10ml/gallon for a few watering, if you aren’t there already.

Thank you. I'll double the cal mag next feed. Also I realised I've been under watering her. I always get in a flap early to mid flower!
Edit: I have not been checking PH of res regularly. So It could be cal mag lock out due to pH > will monitor closely & slightly > cal mag

Day 18 from flip: There was a pH problem with the feed (my fault) that hindered the organic girl. She looks about 5 days behind. They have both doubled in height. I plan to lollipop in a few days to help them focusIMG_20190119_000812.jpgIMG_20190119_000754.jpg IMG_20190119_000805.jpg their growth vertically. I settled the pH issue and just slowly increased feed to ppms of1000 next week ill start 50/50 of grow and bloom. The ionic synthetic fed is bionic! Pistils showed 3 days ago on Ionic nothing on Organic yet. With the exception of my messing up the organic feed these two are growing themselves. Smell is only mild but average o/n temps =18.0c day=23.c
