well just for the older folks here... I tended bar in vegas downtown in the late 70s,early 80sand the only "famous" people I ever saw up close was cubby frm the original mousketeers, he was a drummer in some lounge band(yes I am that old) and goober from the gomer pyle show... yeah, downtown was not the hot spot even in those days, did go to a willie/waylon show(in a concert venue) and got there pretty early, and it was fairly warm in there and these 2 raggedy looking guys came in wearing some winter parkas and sat a few rows behind me yakking up a storm, I glaanced at the out of the corner of my eyed and sure enough, it were them... I was young and chicken at the time so I just sat there and tried to make out what they were saying, just regular talk...I did get a phone call from johnny carson though, just got a new phone number, one day some lady calls and wants to talk to her son, I finally convinced her after 5 minutes that this was a new number and I wasnt one of her sons friends screwing with her, she hung up and a minute later the phone rand and this guy asked for his son and I kid you not, it was unmistakeable to someone like me who'd wwatched carson for years, later I found out that his son was indeed living in vegas at the time, and ummmm.... moving around a lot
