Exactly.
This is the point i was trying to make but you said it better.

But i will say bag seed from plants grown with feminized seeds are a different story...
Im trying to follow here, seeds grown from feminized plants correct? Where these plants pollinated by males or by nanners of a female?

Technically Gorilla glue is feminized. Example: A particular plant hermed and produced nanners. Those nanners pollinated a different strain female. By definition herm pollen creates feminzed seeds. Those seeds were grown and we got gorilla glue.

Or the do you mean the next generation? Or are you talkin chemically feminized ?

A plant from feminized seed is inherently unstable, in that sense. It is instability or stress that causes self pollinization. They become prone to "hermie."

That can be reversed by back crossing with pollen from unrelated males, but... it takes a while from what i understand. It depends on the strain.

I see, but you are not a professional. You are an amateur imitating a professional's setups and techniques. You are a hobbyist. You should want to run your setup like a hobbyist, that's why. Variety and unknowns are much more worth while than the borg style of growing you are imitating. I have pollen from males personally collected from various strains bag seeds and unknowns. I can create and name my own strain if I please. You have someone else's work and are told what to do. Do you believe they gave you their best work? Do you have your own style or techniques? I am a hobbyist, and I do.

But to answer your question, I have come across some great flavors that have had seeds. GSC was notorious for having seeds early on. Sometimes you get an ounce and it has one seed. I ask friends to give them to me. Does not mean we smoke bad weed. I am a new age seed hunter haha

This is good rapport, I don't take things personally, I like hearing your perspective.
No. Im not a pro. I don't have the time or the resources to dedicate to growing. That is why I'm a hobbyist.

Same as most people on this site.

I've got 2 "bag seeds" going right now. The seed mothers grew out really nice and showed female sex in veg. They have been under 12/12 for about a week or so now, so they should begin actually flowering soon. Both were from one specific bag of some dank. At this point I have no idea what that bag of dank was, but I was excited enough I saved the 2 seeds I found(which I don't usually do). We will know more soon.

I've had a few decent plants come from bags seeds over the years, but so far I havn't had a keeper.

No no, I am not in the business of taking things personally. I appreciate the conversation.
Professional, not commercial. A good example my be the electric work I had to do for my tent. Yeah, I coulda run extension cords and all that but why? It's not professional. The professional way would be to draw up a load chart, run new circuits from the box considering the load and overhead.
A new grower/hobbyist should not try to imitate a commercial grow, but professional on the other hand. As an amateur why not strive for professionalism? Also, I think it would be cool to have the experience and means to create strains. That said, you can take someone else's work and do better. Someone else's work has me turning my nose up at top shelf strains compared to what I have. The Borg are unstoppable by the way. You will be assimilated.

Sounds awesome. I always assumed(early on) I had to buy seeds to get dank until I grew my friends bag seed and the plant was a super strain of sort. It grew slowly so I decided to throw it in hydro, it still grew slow so I turned it to a one plant grow to only focus on it. After five months veg it was a three foot bush of dark green and purple leaves. I then flipped it and flowered for two months. It did not stretch one inch and had a trunk 2 1/2 inches thick. The buds were dark purple nuggets that did not look good at all. Some were too close to light and got scorched so they had yellow burns all over. Anyway, the high was through the roof. Im talking one or two hits and your thinking what the fuck, usually takes more time to get to this point. I immediately bagged some up and took it to the biggest smokers I know. Same results they were high as shit off a couple hits. I had previously only been that high that fast smoking some nothern lights back in the day. Pretty awesome for a bag seed. Wish I had cloned that plant.

Now that I think about it, Im pretty sure that plant is the reason I started this thread. Its memory lives on haha

I will smoke one to that! We all have our memory of that one strain. Mine is headband. When I first moved to CO, I got some from a D with a friend who had a red card. I ended up getting lost in his small neighborhood and being late to class lol. Man, that was a high.

Whoever said bagseeds aren’t worth it is crazy & don’t know what they talking about. I’ve collected bagseeds from all the best of the best of the best from Los Angeles since I first smoked OG and every seed I’ve grown out has been as good as the bud it came from!!.. but truth is we have always been spoiled with dank here in LA/SoCal, I got friends that would throw away any seed they would find no matter how good the bud was they just didn’t care & now every time a homie finds a bagseed they give em to me. Bagseeds are WAY WAY BETTER than anything a breeder puts out!!! At least all my bagseeds are. I have s1’s from original oger kush & ghost og from 2005 but right now I’m playing around with some wedding cake s1’s & a couple cookie s1’s they keeping me busy so I’ll wait on those oger seeds for now. Peace to everyone & happy growing
