The wife and I travel on bicycles...once from st Augustine Florida to San Diego (it's called the southern tier) then from Bar Harbor Maine to British Columbia Canada (Northern Tier) also from here in Florida to my sisters home in Beaufort SC and back and this past February from Cancun Mx to Panajachel Guatemala...having said that, I couldn't agree more to a tax for bicycle infrastructure...We should be more like Europe as far as infrastructure for cyclists...id personally pay 15$ a year for improvements for the sole reason to get more people riding...my 2005 Koga Miyata World Traveller has 40k miles on it...sounds like a good deal for 15$

$15 isn't what fucks people up numbnuts.

It's the thugs they send out to enforce their choices concerning your money who fuck you up. Peaceful people who believe in equality don't do business that way.
this is you: "15 dollars! this is an outrage!!!!!! even though this state has no sales tax and this is a one time only payment, 15 dollars more for a 200 plus dollar bike?! even though the money will go towards better, cleaner places to ride my bike!? complete outrage!"

sounds pretty stupid huh

The amount of an authorized confiscation of another persons money does not ameliorate the act of the theft itself.

When you rape unwilling partners, do you tell the judge, "your honor I only put the tip in" ?

Umm, no we don't pay enough. There is this thing called a federal deficit. States can't run deficits for the most part.

Those bike lanes and infrastructure improvements are asked for by the bicyclists in urban areas.

Why do you hate bicycles?
But fuck the people in rural areas that still have to pay a tax for the city folk.

So you endorse fucking up people who haven't consented to something. How surprising.
Techincally you don't have to buy a bicycle. You could even cross state lines and buy one elsewhere (but you might pay more in state sales tax) to avoid the $15 "confiscation".

To me this seems like a good idea. At least it will be the very people contributing that will actually be using the bike paths. Seems like a win-win
