ex joint smokers, volcano vaporizer

The vaporizers I use are at Barney's coffeeshop and are set at 383. Of course health is important, but that's supposedly around the optimal setting to vape THC. The balloon is to cool it off so...

And thanks for the concern. It's not something I just picked up though. I've been tested a few times by lung specialists and despite having smoked for over 2 decades my lungs seem healthy. I frankly don't know exactly what allergy it is, a common pollen allergy. Plus I smoke too much  (which is where the vape comes in too, please don't make me point out we Dutch pollute our joints with tobacco... there you go...). Comes and goes and doesn't seem to be seasonal. I've barely needed my inhaler since I picked up home growing again, I don't need it days after I vaped, I highly suspect I won't need it at all if I'd only vape (which will never happen).

Does your doctor have any source that confirms the bold part, seems he's talking out of his ass like most doctors do when it comes to mj. Thanks for the info nevertheless, something to look into for sure.
I'm surprised you like the temp of 383. I find anything over 375 gives a burnt tasting vaping experience after the first balloon. Research by the NORML California division said the following:

"The vaporizer produced THC at a temperature of 185° C. (365° F.) while completely eliminating three measured toxins - benzene, a known carcinogen, plus toluene and naphthalene. Carbon monoxide and smoke tars were both qualitatively reduced by the vaporizer, but additional testing is needed to quantify the extent of the decrease."

and

"Significant amounts of benzene began to appear at temperatures of 200° C. (392° F), while combustion occurred around 230° (446°F) or above. Traces of THC were in evidence as low as 140° C. (284° F)."

That being said, at the coffee shop you're vaping pretty close to the temp where "bad things" start to happen.

Personally I've found 369 to be the best temp for flavor and the control of harshness.

About the doctor, I'm not sure where he gets his info. He's an old Indian guy though and they use a lot of cannabis in India so I feel he probably knows what he's talking about.

 Ok... I'm going to let that one go.

Put in less weed, let it go a few seconds "without" the balloon so the weed heats up a little already, do that at 383 and you won't have to reuse the material as often or at all, not getting any burning taste.

THC vapes at a range of temps, and the higher in that range, the more efficient you fill the balloon, the less balloons you fill with the same material.

I'll give it a try next time and see if I notice a difference.

When deciding whether or not to accept professional advice from someone it's best to remove our stereotypes from interfering with our judgment. While India is more enlightened as a country regarding Cannabis in comparison to the US there's really no reason to assume he knows what he's talking about because he's from India.

In situations like this it's best to vet the information by asking a few questions. Then you'll understand precisely and if he's feeling like talking you might be lucky and hit a goldmine of information from him. So ASK those questions LOL!

Sorry curious2garden but I use stereotypes to choose all my doctor's. About 2 years ago I hurt myself at karate class and I went to an Asian doctor. About a couple months later I cut my hand slicing a bagel and I went to see a Jewish doctor. A year later I hurt my knee practicing breakdancing and I went to see an African American doctor. Then the following summer I hurt myself playing tennis and I went to see a white doctor. What do you think of that?

I think you missed my point completely. I expect you would see a rainbow of people in this world. However inferring information about someone else based upon ethnicity isn't usually an accurate way to go about things and only serves to illustrate where racism begins.

Believing stereotypes whether the stereotypes are positive or negative gives more accurate information regarding the person who made the assumptions than the individual you are making the assumptions about.

So as my mother used to say, "If you can't be a good example I suppose you can be the horrible lesson".

for portable, buy a davinchi, if you want to cheap out and not fork over 600+ bucks get an extream Q, it works very well.
I work in a hydro store and have tried the majority of vapes on the market

Yeah I find myself very forgetful since my Volcano arrived! I don't think I've come down yet ha! I'm chopping today so little chance of that. ;) It's so funny I used to read the weed reviews where they'd say things like it tastes like berries etc. and I thought yeah they're nuts. Then I tried the volcano and I could taste all these flavors and more. It's incredible how the flavors come out. Sadly going back to a joint after the Volcano tastes like licking an ashtray.

So have any of you volcano users put that hot part against your mouth already? I 'almost' forgot to remove it and replace it by the suck thingy (was not the easy valve). Slightly worried that I might at some point end up branding myself with a circle on my lips.

A few years back, I sold most of my pipes and bongs to cash in on a Volcano. It doesn't matter if you're a grocery bagger or Michael Jordan, the volcano is tops-blubie and anyone can get one. It's nice when the best out there is attainable for normal folk. Happy vaping - don't forget all that resin in your vape-bowl and mouthpiece :)

So you tried to take a hit without the nipple/mouthpiece on the valve...hahahaha to high...let me get back to my 3 ft bag :)

Nope, obviously that's why I said 'almost' and 'might at some point'. I was just wondering if anyone had geisha lips from the valve yet.

There's no such thing as "to high" or "too high" which is probably what you meant.
