The GOP will soon be just 1 seat away from losing control of the house, or so the pundits say. Time for Joe to offer one of them an ambassadorship or a plum federal job? One from a district likely to go blue in a special election? Maybe the democrats want to avoid the whole hot mess until the election and only get the stuff they need through in the meantime.

Its an hour long, so doesn't fit the <10 minute bite that has become the mainstay of utube news.

BUT, the two men in the vid are reporters who have been sitting as close to the Trump Mad Tea Party as anybody.

Johnathan Karl is the Chief Washington Correspondent for ABC News and he give us a short history of events leading to and including the Trump administration. After that, he describes how the Republican Party raised Trump from the political dead in 2021 only to watch him take back control of the now dying GOP as it becomes Trump's personal vehicle for winning back the WH that will culminate in the flattening of US government into Trump's domain. If, that is, if, he should win.

It is not a breathy fear fest but a factual discussion that I find interesting and chilling. Put in the ear buds, do some dishes and listen to two informed men provide us with facts based information and reporting on the most important political events of this time.


Their description of what it will be like to have Trump on trial while the campaigns unfold is nothing like what I had envisioned.

Embattled Michigan GOP Chair Refuses to Leave After Vote Ousting Her
After Michigan Republicans voted on Saturday to oust embattled chair Kristina Karamo, the former state party leader is refusing to recognize the vote.

State party committee member Bree Moeggenberg said 88% of those in attendance at the Saturday meeting voted to remove Karamo, telling the New York Times that she lacked transparency and ineffectiveness.

Karamo, however, is calling the meeting "illegitimate," in a move that has been used by Republican politicians who lose elections.

"Their performance has no legal standing," Karamo said in a statement. "I am still chair of the Michigan Republican Party."

Karamo has faced criticism over the party's fundraising and spending since being elected chair one year ago, with a report in December warning that the group was on the "brink of bankruptcy."

With a one seat GOP majority the likelihood of a shutdown is greatly diminished in the house. It's an election year and the republicans will get the blame for any shutdown.


Let's talk about the budget, demands, and moves in the House....
