It works fine great in fact.
Is it worth it?
I would say no because you can do cheaper methods but they work:D

if $ is an issue don't get them. they like 3.75 a pop

hold on bro, I think that is for adding CO2 to water which you dont want. Double check that b/c that is what I concluded.

as for the excellofizz, I think like 1/4 tabs max at a time in diff grow areas.

Mane, what do you think. I hear they can be messy too and should be used in glass as they could melt the plastic.

nah bro, there is no way you want to add co2 to your water. roots need o2 only and definately not co2. you will do damage to your plants especially if growing in hydro.

I think these release the c02 molecule in water to be dissolved in water, where as the Excellofizz is dissolved in only a small amount of water and the co2 molecule is realeased into the air.

I guess if you put them in some water, not your res, and they bubble, than that would be releasing c02 into the atmosphere. But if that were the case, than they could not be beneficial to aquamarine plants. but do tell if they fizzle and bubble.

what say you Moon?

just going through the post though i would give a idea for you that works very well for me.get a 1 gallon tupperware.a pump for fish tank.1 inch rubber hose 2"long.cut a 1 inch hole in lid of tupperware.silicone the tubing to the lid and the bottom of the pump over the pump intake.get some tubing for the pump puch holes every 1 1/2".fill tupperware with water add sugar.add yeast.hook the pump to a timer for 15 min on 45 off.and voila you just made yourself a co2 boost for about 20 bucks.works awesome.i call it ghetto boost.hope this helps:blsmoke::peace:

thanks. I did the yeast and water and sugar thing just not on a timer. I may just opt for the co2 tank.

got the Excellofizz and it sucks-dont anyone waste their money. they do work but like crap-they last like maybe 2 hours-not 8 hours like it says.

so i just bought a 50 pack of excelofizz. it was 50 bucks. so a dollar a piece. not too bad considering. ill let everyone know how they work out. eventually im gon get a tank and do the co2 the slightly more professional route. but ya, they are most certainly NOT over a dollar a piece.
