Exhaust vent out of a window that already has a wall unit a/c, sus??

Hello, my room has a wall unit a/c under the window and I am growing in a tent that I am going to be exhausting out the window. My question is it suspicious that I have an exhaust vent in my window when there is a wall unit right under it? Or is it reasonable for landlord( if by chance he see its) or people in general could think that the exhaust fan is for a portable a/c and maybe i jsut like using taht instead of the wall unit? Am I just tripping and no ones going to care? Just trying to be low key... any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I just flip the ac to vent come lights out. You don’t need dedicated exhaust for a small grow. Should be a tab to pull/push with 3 positions 1 to bring fresh air in(I use this setting during lights on, one for recirculating and one to vent)

AC's have vents because regulations for some facilities such as nursing homes require them. There is no specification that really says they have to be effective. Besides, they are usually designed to bring fresh air in, not vent indoor air out.

My tent gets extremely hot without an exhaust blowing the hot air out. And if i don't blow it out the window my whole room will get hot as well. I'm just worried that my landlord might as questions as why I have a exhaust vent in my window(one of those kits you attach into the window) when there is already an window AC in the room.

if i have the a/c window unit, would it take hot air from inside the room and exhaust it out enough that I would I be able to jsut put the ducting that is exhausting out of the tent near the a/c without even exhausting it through the window? if that makes any sense... I guess like would I be able to just exhaust out of hte tent into the room and have the a/c on to cool the room ? i believe my a/c is only 5000 btu but the room isn't very large just a average sized room

Isn't that venting the smell as well?

If your fan and filter are large enough you can scrub the air in a closed room
It won’t stop the odor 100% but at least 90%
