Exhausting thru one or two cooltube

There seems to be two schools regarding how to set up a cool tube. One says push air thru the reflector, other says suck. Which one is the more proper one if we made this into a voting? What about if I wanted to have two cooltubes and only one exhaust fan?

I used to run 2x cool tubes, now 2x big kahuna a/c hoods. I use the push air method. only reason is this, if I have an air leak in my hoods, the fan is pushing air thru the hoods and any air leaks into my tent. if I were to pull air thru the hoods and I have any air leaks in my hoods, I would be sucking unfiltered tent air into my grow room. this poses a BIG issue with odor control.

That you are absolutely correct with. Still you can use the fan to suck air out of your grow room and then blow it out thru a carbon filter. Theo do work both ways, right?
What I'd like to do is not have a separate fan for the cool tube but rather have it in the same system as the grow room vent. Move air from inside the tent thru the cool tube and then out, with the carbon filter and exhaust fan somewhere along the way.

I run a separate huge DIY carbon scrubber matted to an 8" 750cfm fan. I never tried to run 2 hoods and a scrubber and 2 or 3 fans all inline. ill stick to my way as its been working for 16 months.

I believe using a configuration that uses negative pressure (causes suction into the room) is better if there are air leaks when using a filter. Yes, you can suck in outside air if there is a leak, but it goes through the filter. If using a setup that causes positive pressure pushing out of the room...ANY air leaks will be pushing out unfiltered stink.

Minor questions keep popping up in my head.
Which side of the fan should I use sound-insulated ducting in order to get the best noise reduction?

I found I can get away with sucking air through one cooltube, but if I use 2 the heat is to much for the fan....... They seem to cook the bearings and the fans seize.
Could be the cheap fans, but its something that should be noted when setting up your
Ventilation.
