Alot of conflicting info online so putting it to RIU...

Can you continously takes clones from clones or should you stop after 3 generations to perserve genetics or whatever???

Thanks in advance for all serious and experienced feedback.

You're asking for an answer to a question that you already know will get you conflicting answers?

With that being said, as many generations as your heart desires. A clone is a copy, and a plants genetics don't just change, therefore it's generation doesn't matter

I've even heard that yield, taste, and potency improves as the generations increase, however, I haven't experienced that.

All the best,
FF

a) do homework on what 'clone' or 'identical genetics' means; c) go to step 'b'
b) follow step 'a'

i have strains that only seem to get better, i have some that only seem to deteriorate.

until some actual scientific studies are done, the world may never know and your mileage may vary.

I see this question was answered to satisfaction on another thread recently, but I will say this... I'm a newb indoor gardener (marijuana that is), but I am highly experienced outdoors and I know many people. Personally, I know one person in particular who has run clones for over 15 generations (a few years), and his most ardent users say that it is still their favourite toke (eats too).

After the 6th Gen. they start to lose characteristics of the Mother. U can clone as long as u want if ur smar. I got a first Gen Afgoo and it will last me a couple of years.

clones will be fine no matter the generation...it just needs to come from a healthy plant.
