I'm not sure which way to go with this. Maybe some of you guys with more experience could take the time to give me your opinions!

My flower room is 5.5' x 5.5' x 6.5' tall. It has a 1k hps in an air cooled SunSystem yield master2 6" air cooled hood. I have a 40" x 40" canopy with the 4 plants (all headband, grown from clones, vegged for 5 weeks) that are in there now. The have been flowering for 4 weeks my buddy says the strain is mature in 8, so I shoild have 4 weeks to go on those.

In my veg cabinet 4' x 4' x 4' cube, I have a Master Yoda that is 5 weeks old from rooted clone, a Bubba that is 12 days from rooted clone and 6 Purple Diesel seedlings that are 12 days from sprout, seeds were from some fiery ass Bag of weed I got. So the Yoda is pretty big, the Bubba and the purple D's can veg for another 4 weeks until the ladies (headband) is done flowering. I'm actually going to clone the purple d and flower those to determine the sex of those plants.

So with that Yoda that is 5 weeks into veg, should I continue to veg it another month, or throw it in the flower room already, or in a week. The veg room is only a 400w MH, I will have a 600 in 3 weeks, but no sooner. Will putting it the flower room hurt my yield on the current batch? Will veging it another 4 weeks along with 7 others in a 4' cube under 400w be way too much plant for too little light? Input is much appreciated!!

If you can fit them, throw them in next week.

If your buddy said 8, you can probably assume 9. Most people chop early.

That being said, if you throw the next round in next week, you will have a nice 4-5 week cycle going. Every 4 weeks you throw in the next batch and every 4 weeks you harvest the old ones.

That's how my CFL tent runs, except they mature a little slower and it's about a 6 week cycle.

Thanks! What do I do with the Yoda girl? Veg it till the cabinet is full? Flip it soon and pass that 400 MH to all the little ones? My concern is if I put her in the flower room now, I may yield less on my current batch, which is my very first grow and I wanted to know my exact grams per watt. Will introducing another plant reduce the volume the current ladies in flower produce?

I responded to Thump before your post appeared Yokel.

Thanks Yokel! So I'm gonna throw Yoda in the flower room next week! I guess affecting this yield doesn't matter as much as having the next yield be on time. So I'll throw Yoda in next week and then the next batch 4-5 weeks later.

Adding the yoda in shouldn't affect the yield of your current batch as long as it's not blocking light to the older, more mature budsites. But I agree with trying the semi perpetual approach. Timing your flower will give you a nice steady supply
