What about this system. I dont know how these systems work so, i dont know what to choose. Will I have to manually do something several times a day, Such as changing water.. etc

Im confused, i usually grow in soil.

this is a DWC if you add a water pump, irrigation manifold and feed lines it will be bubbleponics. For that style system you would change the water once every week or two with top offs in between. other than that its just a matter of germing the plant and hand watering it until the roots touch water or you will submerge the lower portion of the net pot. I have made a diy ebb and flow and a diy DWC. The botanicare flood tray works better. go look at rose mans DIY bubble ponics if you wanna make your own. they are really inexpensive to make and u can usually get everything at walmart

Edit: if you studied a little harder instead of trying to have everything spoonfed to you people will respect you more...

please dont say I haven't researched . That is false.

Im just confused about specific things.
but your answer helped me out a bunch .I still have not received an answer to my question.

Does the roots just sit in the oxygenated water and grow ?

If i can understand how these systems operate, I will have an easier time with whatever I plan to do growing hydroponically.

___EDIT: Ive read that roseman thread.

Isnt Hydro and Bubbleponics different from one another.

I have read "my man". Like in aero the roots are MISTED upon. They dont sit in water.

So by what you said, Growing Hydroponicaly the roots just sit in the water am I correct ?

Because I see everywhere on how, Hydro is harder to maintain..., But if all it the roots does is sit in the water, Then all you have to do is change the water every week, and add some nutes, and your done.. I really dont see how people say its "harder"

EDIT: I asked "Isnt Hydro and Bubbleponics different from one another." And then you say. "No my man just a different type of hydro like aero or ebb & flow."

First you say No it is not different, then you say its a different type of hydro. Get your mind straight.

they guy obviously hasn't retained any of what he read, and to accuse mike of leading him astray and not tell explaining it to him. I think ghost gardener mike is right on. If you cant figure out what this site is telling you, you should ask a question. When people answer the question, and you still dont understand you need to explain where you are lost. When some one answers you again, and you still dont understand, try a different site like cannabis culture, gardens cure, international canabigraphic. If you are still lost give up and dont grow you are just going to fuck it up.

I am sorry if you have read, read some more, then rest, then read some more and post questions like this in the newbie zone. hell go read there it might keep you from asking ... dumb... questions.

I understand. Ive gotten help from bauks.

Simplest advice ever. I now understand.

Got my grow set-up going on now, and my DWC in a 3 gallon bucket. Thanks and I shall retain this information from now on.

Half of the time, Im high and on these forums. :leaf:

Like most everyone else on this thread, I too don't think you've done much research. You wouldn't have to ask us questions like is hydro different than bubbleponics if you had, because you'd know the answer.

And where do you see all over the place that hydro is harder to maintain?? Aero, Hydro, bubble, they're all pretty easy to maintain once you know what you're doing.

I run a DWC system like the one you linked to on ebay (which I made myself). So I grow hydroponically, DWC. And it's a totally SIMPLE system to maintain. As long as you read and learn....

To try and answer your initial question quickly and simply:

The plants roots sit in the nutrient solution. The airstones provide bubbles of oxygen to the roots. This is basically a DWC system using airstones for bubbling oxygen to the roots. If you want to know more, go read more posts.

You can make one for cheap. Hell, if you search up any of my old posts, you will find one that gives step by step directions on how to build a DWC hydro system. I also talk about nutes as well.

Good luck. I have a feeling if you do start growing, we'll be hearing from you a lot more often...
