How thick of an extension cord would be sufficient? Anyone know off hand the specifications to handle these watts or could possible hook me up with a link to a good power cord I could buy?
That table is for 12 volt circuits. I wouldn't use it for 120 VIt depends on your voltage and length of extension.
2000w at 120v is 16-2/3 amps. (1000w is 8-1/3 amps).
Then use a wire-gauge table like this one (<<link) which says you can go about 10' with 12 gauge wire. 20' with 10ga. 30' with 8ga.
That's for 15 amp. You might reduce those lengths by 10% if you believe you'll go an additional 1-2 amps.
