extremley low budget grow

hi there ,
im new to this forum , i have been lurking around for the passed 2 months collecting data , and learning some pro growing .

first i wanna say that this forum is f***** awesome , all the people that help ,
write tutorials , post thier grows (which is helpfull as well - u always learn some new stuff for your grow box) , i wanna thank you , u rock.

and now , i have started an extremely low budget grow . because it is the first grow for me
and i just wanted to see if the low budget would be worth it (its not) .
oh .. and i was really really really bored :D
so first i bought some pre made soil with nutes . two UNKNOWN seeds
(i took it from the bud i was smoking on. my friend that gave it to me told me that it should be medical )
i had started with one 60cm 20w about 1100 lumen cool white floru tube for the veg phase - positioned at the side of plant (i tied the plant gently , very gently to a tooth pick)
after a month or so i started the flowring state (i was impatient) , and switched to 12/12 .
after a few days i added another 1500 lumen on top of the plant - cool white .
and after a few more days i switched the top light bulb to warm white ,
i added another light bulb of 1500 lumen to the other side of the plant . warm white as well . and i kept my fluro tube runing as well , mixing the spectrum.

those pics taken at about month and a half - they are in flowring state . but
yet to add bulbs , or switch them to warm white .

btw one of the plant turned to hermi a day ago , i tored all the pollen sacks i could find . one has already popped open , i saw some white stuff on the leaves
of the hermi flower , i think that is all the pollen that dropped from the sack .
i just hope that nothing will happen .
when will i should expect seeds if my girls got pregnant ?
can i harvest at the first sign of seeds to save some buds ?

next plant will be a single seed per pot , nutes , and more CFLS .
btw no mylar to be found in my country which is odd , what else can i use
to reflect light ?

I say use tin foil if you can't find mylar. I've been told not to do that it reflects heat. But it's not like you'r running high intensity lights or some shit any way so you don't have much to worry about there man.

wohoo thanks for the quick replys guys n gals.
well actually i made a light reflector out of foil , than i noticed my plant is started to have yellow spots here and there.
i immidiatly removed the foil , and the plant is better .

Skunkybud , i watched the grow linked , it is actually extremely ghetto , hehe made me feel a bit good about myne .
but than i saw u had like 4 bulbs , and then i got sad again that i dont :) hehehe ...

ill post more pics when theres some development .

for now im thinking on a new stealth grow box for my next grow .

if you wanna reflect use white paint or mylar. never foil. if ya wanna give your plant a boost mix 2 tblspns of molasses or syrup to a two liter bottle and water with that. it helps stimulate the plant by feeding the micro organisms in the dirt. when i did it almost all my buds on the plant doubled in size in two days so try it if ya want read up on it. on the other hand now that you have more lights and you start off on your next grow people try to hold off till their plant is at least 12 inchs tall b4 flowering. good luck

my closet inside is painted on one wall with white paint .
on the other two walls its white wood - im not sure how to describe it , but it doesnt have the texture of wood , just some gloss clear texture .
and on the other side theres a black case guitar (bad i know) , which i covered with white A4 paper .

the problem is , that the closted is big , and it doesnt seem like the white paint would reflect much . (mylar i cant get in my country .. which is odd) .
thats why looking for a new grow box , something i could fit in my closet , and the walls would be tight enough to actually reflect the light .

well like i said its my first grow , and im learning with each and every passing day .

You keep saying you can't get mylar in your country. May I ask what country you hail from?
And why is mylar not availible in your country?

im from israel m8 .
maybe theres mylar in israel. but i have been to the local hardware stores , art goods stores and i havent found anything resembling it.
also its quite defficult to look for mylar , as theres no word in hebrew to describe it , so cant search for it on the net .

hey try making a reflector out of a 5 galln white bucket and for Mylar first aid kits the emergency blankets use thoes

i just would ask you to think about 1 thing ok ........you are trying to mirror the effects of the sun indoors , yeah , all im saying it expect a low return from your plants as you are not feeding them no were near enough lumens.as a fun grow thats fine , but thats all it is :P

hehe ofcuz they do. i thought of getting a roll of Mylar , didnt think of just using
bag of chips or smth like that .
but as i said , when ill build my grow box , ill deffinetly wrap around some chips bag , or smth like that ..

*UPDATE - the odour is just freaking awesome ... im in love with mary jane ..:D
grow box is beeing designed , materials are getting picked . soon a new grow box
will be posted and a new plant. more pics soon , been lazy , and overloaded from college.

*UPDATE2* - pics are here . u can start see some of the white hairs go red .. :P

Dude check a first aid kit maybe man. A mylar blanket is sometimes in them dude plus you get a first aid kit out of it never know when u need it

so this plant now is about 1.5 months old , more or less .

i made a new Light Box for my grows , now i can hold about 120w for my plants.

im thinknig to harvest now - i have a couple of seeds that has germinated
and i wanna start a fresh grow , with propper lights .
do u think the high will be fine from this plant if i harvest now ?

adding new pics of the plant and new light box.
the brown spot on the leaves - one of the CFL's fell on the plant , dunno for how long , so i guess it kinda burned it a bit.

Dude I would highly recomend waiting a bit longer at least if u wanna be high. Looks like those nugs are still wigging out man. Wait for the pistils to receed into the nugget.

I know everyone tells me that including friends and family lol. But shit man if ur growing in a cardboard box or something tinfoil would be an inprovement if you can't get mylar. Thats been the only time I've ever used it. Just saying its a really ghetto substitute.

i actually harvested it a couple of days after this post . i wanted to start another plant with proper lighting , and using LST .

so luckily i harvested when i did , if u remember one of them turned into a hermi , and he flowered the plants .
