My great grandpa was a sailor (of the Popeye variety -- the resemblance in photos is uncanny). I have one memory of him. I was sitting on his lap. He had an anchor tattoo and bad underarm BO. To this day, I associate tattoos with body odor. Can't shake it.Incredible detail, especially his throat and face. Would love to hear more about it sometime, if you're so inclined. I'm intrigued. I absolutely LOVE the Olive Oyl tattoo (as well as the "I Yam what I Yam" tat across his chest)!
