So, I got home from work today, and nearly lost my shit! Walked up to the house and I could smell the humidity
Opened the door to my room, and it was literally dripping with fucking water. The board that I have my inline fan for the lights and the ac unit decided to fail. It was 70% humidity and nearly 115 degrees. I quickly rearranged some shit to fix it, but I am afraid that I have caused irreparable damage to my crop. This is the worst possible scenario with only 2 weeks to go until harvest. Other than being robbed, of course.

Sucks dude... it's good to have exhaust and lights on the same circuit for this sort of thing. Hindsight I know, but in the future... that way if one goes they both go and you're not left with the lights on without vents...

BTW how bad are they? I mean you said it was 115 and dripping wet... was it dripping wet because all the moisture had been cooked out of the plants? Are they like... lo mein or chow mein? know'm sayin? Limp, or crisp?

They were more limp than anything, but they started to foxtail already and a lot of the sugar leaf on the tops closest to the light have yellowed. Does that mean early harvest? take my losses? not really sure what to do

My biggest concern is that since it was so humid that they might develop bud rot. The humidity usually sits at around 40%, do you think they will recover without molding?

I don't really know, never been in that situation, but get that humidity down as low as you can and see what happens... I think you'll be okay if you can keep the humidity low for a spell... remember, people grow outdoors and it straight rains on the buds... but as long as the sun comes out after to dry up that rain, you're cool... this isn't too different a situation really. Just keep fresh air moving in there and try to provide as low a humidity level as possible.

You are two weeks out from harvest, it depends if you are going to move it or smoke yourself. If this is a shit you are going to move to pay bills take the shit down before it molds and you can't sell it! If it's personal smoke it is up to you, take down now and dry with dehumidifier in the room, or push out and risk it for better smoke? Nobody can tell ya what to do bortha because only the weed gods know the true fate of your plants! ;)

Fresh air is moving, it's only a 10x10 space and 1200 cfm exhaust pulling through a 12x12 fresh air intake. I've got 6 16" oscillating fans blowing on them right now. Lights are off now, we'll see how they look noon tomorrow when they come back on.

I had a fan fail once... It was almost 100 degrees and like 70 something percent humidity... Just shake the moisture off as best u can, and cross your fingers.
And yes, the yellowing of leaves will certainly degrade the trichomes.

So it looks like only a couple tops that were closest to the light got the worst of it. The humidity and temp is back to normal (38%/78deg). Overall, they don't look nearly as happy as they did before, most of the bottom leaves in the dense canopy have sagged, and probably will yellow, dry, and fall off. They definitely took a beating, but all is not lost.

​not a lot you can do about it now but im sure they will be ok, don't chop them now let them go all the way, we live and learn ;-)
