Fade Proof Pen to Mark Plant Labels?

What is the best permanent marker to use to mark my plant labels? I have been using Sharpie and the ink keeps fading and I just wanted to find a permanent marker that wouldnt fade.

a REALLY permanet label --> cut a beer can into strips and write on it with a ball point pen engraving the name permanetly into the metal.

with your fading it probably has something to do with what you wrote it on. cause permanet markers are pretty permanet. if its on plastic it will come off easier than if its on paper. so maybe try some labeling tape? or that sticker paper shit you can print stickers on. unless your grow space is super wet then it should stay there
