Fan Leaf Got Too Close To The Light-Cut damged part off or not?

Ok, so the thread title pretty much explains the situation-using some CFL's and keeping them as close as possible to the little lady. She grew so much overnight that one of her fan leaves got into one of the cfl's and burned the tips about 1/2 an inch or better. Should I cut off those damaged tips? less than a week into 12/12 fwiw.

That would be alright, if they are burnt, they have no nwets in them.

Not in a medical state, therefore-don't do pics. I used to, but after fdd2blk got busted and DrGreenhorn has abandoned ship for some reason, makes me leary of putting pics up.
I've already clipped the burnt part (tips) off of the fan leaf. Thanks for the input HotShot.
