Fan leaf removal

Removing fan leaves... I'm sure we could go on and on about this subject.. just wanted more feedback from those whom have actually tried this method. My personal take on it is I believe it's beneficial at the right stage of flowering... however. It is also strain specific... You obviously don't need to do that with a sativa plant as opposed to an indica plant. Less leaf. More light. Strategically removing fan leaves has helped me... the yields were not dramatic. It mostly matured the bottom half of the plant adding more size to compared to plants that were not. The final stages.. especially with indica strains.. I pull all the fan leaves.. leaving only the bud. Would I have yielded more if I left the leaves... idk?

What timing and volume regiment do you implement?

There are a lot of old threads on this. Usually this question will end in arguments lol. Some people pull leafs some don't. Some pull only a few that covers the direct bud site some people won't pull a single leaf others pull almost every leaf. My answer to your question is what ever works best in your situation . do a aide by side

My thoughts are any light that hits the floor is wasted , but shade ain't great either. I try to maintain good air flow , and I will usually only remove a minimum.

right if its packed together this will greatly affect the growth . need to spread them out of thin them out

'Prune' them if airflow gets restricted.
