Read a bit till you learn that leaves covering leaves does not cause yellowing
and it would be easier to help ya if there was a pic

I see no problem
Consider the fan leaves as solar panels and the under story growth as consumers of the power the panels create.
That plant looks very healthy. (it is typical that new/young growth is a lighter shade than the older fan leaves)
