The very top of my plant fan leaves are dropping. The whole plant is totally fine but the very top. Growing in RDWC system.

Thanks for the info, I added a small fan to see if the plant just needed more air movement there. The damn plants stretched like crazy when I switched to bud. I wasn't prepared and the top is now above the light so maybe that is causing this. Can you measure the temp up near the area that is drooping?? Maybe its hot and not receiving enough air movement? Riffing here. Friday talking plants..
Currently working on adding more lights to my set up. Hoping that will helpSounds like you have to switch some stuff around, can you pull the top over so its in the light once again?
The inline fan is taking air out. I also have two fresh air inline fans going as well. I did not expect to have such massive growth. First time growing RDWC, I have a chiller going keeping water temp at 68F, running air stones and recirc pump with general hydroponic nutrients flora series. In 4 weeks my plants turned into 5ft monsters. Never seen growth like that. Should have switched to bud earlier. Lesson learned. Is the inline fan drawing air out or bringing it in?
This is my first grow in RDWC, grown many times in soil which I honestly liked and had great success with. In veg this system is like giving steroids to your plants. I swear you can watch them grow in front of your eyes. I feel like I now have to just keep playing with it. Invested too much to go back to soil now sadly. But I think ill get it, just gotta learn the hard way lol.Yeah as a soil grower my stuff moves a lot slower.. Like sloth slow, but I'm okay with it. You done many grows with that system?
I'm leaning towards wind damage as the rest of the plant looks amazing and the roots look really good. No smell, clean looking. I drain the system every week and use beneficial microbes along with a few cleaning solutions that don't kill the microbs.Could be root rot. I've seen whole branches shrivel up like that, one at a time. Usually see other symptoms of lockout too though..
Or, could just be severe wind damage, being right in the direct flow of the fan?
You can always train them. Think I kept them in veg about 4 weeks in RDWC. Two plants in a 3x3 ended up pretty packed but manageable with a screen to spread them outThe inline fan is taking air out. Its crazy how fast they grown. This is a picture of my current system all pipes together with a return line to the rez. Two large air pumps, two air stones per bucket including the rez. Another pump going from rez to chiller and back.Yep they grow fast huh! Best to plumb your system, so you can fill/drain (or better yet, recirculate) without lifting anything. Then you could install trellis nets, and really get a handle on controlling the canopy.
Nice setup. One plant deep and wide is the way to go. Much easier for maintenanceIts crazy how fast they grown. That's a great idea. I'll pick some up tomorrow and make some changes.Maybe best to put some ducting on the fan, and bring it down low. That, or run square rigid metal ducting along the wall, and then re mount the fan out of the way.
My intake holes are a little higher in my room, but I use flexible AC hose ducting going into little filter boxes. I can aim intake air anywhere I need in the room, coming from 2 of the hoses and boxes.
