Fan Leaves

I've only ever smoked, never grown. In all the information on harvesting I've read I see you're supposed to cut off the fan leaves and dry the buds. Makes sense. But can you DO anything with the fan leaves? I wouldn't want to let them go to waste if there's something to gain. Curious I suppose.

Any fan leaves I usually let them dry, then throw them in my fireplace

There's really not much to do with them.. The smaller leaves in/near the buds though - if you can see trichomes on them, save them. Make some hash.

So, throw away big fan leaves, keep small trichy ones.

Good advice, you can also make brownies out of them. hummmmm brownies brings out the Homer in me.
