right i know a guy who has 275grams of dried fan leaves, best way to claim active ingredients is?

make butter?

use frozen iso?

pull through glass tube aka bho?
 
You need sugar leaves, trim, popcorn, or flowers, not fan leaves. Fans dont really contain anything useful. U less you just juice the fans for health reasons
 
The trichomes on fan leaves are scattered and tend to be more mature than those on the flowers and sugar leaf. We've made good topicals from fan leaves, but as a vaporizing extract, not so much. It gives a charley horse between the ears, vis a vis a high.
 
I have a mix of fans I plan on running through to make edibles. I figure I'm reclaiming the alcohol anyhow, why not run the material and see what I get? I'll decarb and then freeze and do a slightly longer wash. I want to see what I get and I bet it will be worth it to run. I figure the fans are always touching stuff and I can't always trim everything at once so they probably pick up some active ingredients. I bet if you rolled around in them you'd be sticky, yeah?

I will take that bet. You will get something but I highly doubt that it will be worth it. :fire::hump::shock:
 
hey people do this all the time in nz, we use 'cabbage' as we call it we turn the waste into sellable product, you wont get much but you will get something. this is using frozen iso.

im using butane for this i think and ill show you what i get

It might be a simple problem of terminology. I am not referring to "popcorn" buds, larff, or sugar leaves. Fan leaves are the big ones. As @Fadedawg replied earlier, you will get something if you process just the fans but the material is very questionable and likely to be very low in thc and provide more of a headache than a pleasant experience. Maybe you and the NZ crew are in to that sort of thing. It might be cultural or a problem with the correct terms. Either way good luck and enjoy.
 
Sorry but buds are for smoking the rest is reclaimed via iso..

I blasted
3x10g tubes of powdered leaf and trim and have about 1g or gold bho

So that’s the darkness you can see as opposed to clear honey...

How can you winterise without ethanol? Clientele are Muslim... it’s doing my brain in... butane ethanol and iso are ideal to work with as costs are low..

I tried MZ12X it’s amazing... full of flavour and alot more product of 1 run than butane.. I think I’m going to do a blend butane and Diethyl methane..

After some research I found in high times that fan leaves contain 1-3% thc as opposed to 12-30% in flowers.. .. 1-3% of 275=about 3-10g thc...

Thinking of cost now I purchased two bin bags full of trim cutoffs stalks and fan leaves in January, it’s now October and I’m still not needing to buy anything... along the wAy I scored 10 litres of iso 1 litre of ethanol an air still molecular sieves a Büchner funnel a vaccum chamber and I’m about set for the next run...
 
Also after blast the leaves with 200g butane I thought that was it... I got another Pyrex dish did two blasts into the first a third into the second to see if I’m wasting my product by not stripping it and found residue that gets you high, it’s oily... I’ve gotten three grams so far from this and I’m half way through...


Question:- can I use VG veg glycerine and put bho straight into into a vape without winterising?

BHO and VG don't readily mix, as some of the things soluble in butane are not soluble in VG.

You can mix it completely into an emulsion using an homogenizer, but not just stirring them together as a mixture.
