those are the 2 fans I use to ventilate.. and it doesnt do shit. I just have the in the holes that the HOMEBOXs says to put them in. If i leave tent open temps stay aroudn 82 and at night about 79 if i close tent goes past 95. iM running a 250watt hps system btw.

Anyways.. do u think its cuz my fans are not powerfull enough? the 4inch is 80cfm and the 6inch is 250cfm

Or are my fans good enough am i doing something wrong? I mean theres only 2 holes... rofl how can I make my ventilation work...

Those fans you have are better suited to cool a reflector. They are not very good for exhaust, especially with a large duct run, and through a carbon filter.
Are both of your fans exhausting? Or is one intake and one exhaust? If they are both exhausting, you probably don't have enough intake holes to allow for the full cfms of the fans to be used.
If one is exhaust and one is intake, make them both exhaust and use passive intakes. But the best suggestion I can make is, spend $100 on a decent blower and use that for exhaust. You can either use the duct fans you already have as intake, or use them to cool a hood.
So all in all, no those fans are not good enough for an exhaust system. But you could be doing something wrong as well.

I am using a tent purchased from HTGsupply. I also have the same exact 4" fan for my 400W light exhaust........directly blowing hot air outside tent. I use the same exact 6" fan(with 4" reducer) as an exhaust fan on top of my tent.

Most of my air ventilation is passive...........BUT i do have some dryer ducting running from floor HVAC vent directly to one of the small rectangular openings at bottom of tent. Just inside the tent and right up against rectangular openings, i placed a 4" Walmart fan that helps circulate air from HVAC ducting.

Take a look at my set up. You can see 6" fan on top of tent and if you look at bottom right, I believe you can see the ducting running from vent to side of tent. (You can't see the light vent/ducting, which exists to right of tent too.)

Oh, last thing. I have a $15 box fan(Walmart, Lowe's) just outside my bedroom that helps push cooler air into grow room.

Hope this helps. My temps get as high as 78-80 and low temps are in low 70's...............almost perfect!
