Are you sure this is current? I have a private lawyer who says, size is not an issue, reasonable (incidental) amount under 99 in veg. 6 flowering. I have just been thru an inspection by the dea who left my 65 2 ft mothers right where they were, counted them, checked out my whole operation and left?? thats weird.

Ok, couple things. First is, you have state law vs. federal law in your comment (I am assuming that the DEA you refer to is federal). Also, the federal limit for a more serious offense is over 99 plants. Our state law says you can have unlimited under 12", but the reality is that one would need to consider that federal limit of 99 to be safe imo.

Have they came up with a system for excess yet? My understanding is they need a system to test for chemicals before they'll move forward. Correct me if wrong

thanks I guess that's more of what I was looking for. Now in a situation like what I have below, who defines unprepared? Can I judge my x lbs (although I could neither afford nor have the need for this much hah) as unprepared or uncured? If there's a few leaves on there does that mean I can have 8 lbs and just say its not yet prepared?

hi guys , i am hitting a mental block on this one. in addition to my care-giver cards , is this ; https://www.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/suwtaxreg/index (Sales & Use Tax, Use Tax, Service Provider Tax) what i need to have to be considered legit?
when i look around for a 'vendor' license i find this ; http://www.maine.gov/portal/business/licensing.html . which says i have to go to my local town office. is that step necessary or is the tax registration form enough?
is there any reason to form an LLC? will the state even allow LLCs to be caregivers or must it be an individual who files a 1099 each year as self employed?
thanks for any and all help , i am unsure who to really direct these kinds of questions too. this may be where CCM or some such organization might benefit me. please PM me or post here if you can offer some guidance. i already have my own prescription as well as the caregiver slots from the state - i just want to make sure all my ducks are in a row!

Hello. New to the group. Cant believe I found such a great and informative sight. I have had a medical card for 3 years and I am tired of going to the dispensary and paying that price so I am going to start growing my own. I would like to become good enough at growing my own for myself that in time I can branch out in a primary caregiver role. I guess, I am just looking for advice and tips for starting my own grow (6 plants). This is coming from someone with very little knowledge in growing marijuana. I will be growing in my basement at first then after time move into someplace off the property. What am I looking for as starting average price to set up a small indoor grow. Not looking to spend thousands. Maybe a couple hundred or a thousand to start? I don't even know what stuff costs. Thanks for any and all advice guys!!

are you allowed to have more than one grower living in your household? or do you have to reg as grower/patient, patient?
