The president has promised utopia. But US companies face a much starker reality
The president on Monday pledged to slap tariffs on “all countries”, and is preparing for what he calls “liberation day” on Wednesday, when he will announce sweeping reciprocal tariffs on US trading partners.

But the reality on the ground for American businesses is the quite the opposite. Instead of utopia, companies are grappling with rising prices, plunging confidence and dwindling spending.

Trump’s liberation day could be cataclysmic for large swathes of America.

I would have expected that trump firing 1000's of disabled vetrerans would have an effect on you....but no
The U.S. workforce is only 5% veterans, yet they make up 30% of the Federal workforce, and many are disabled veterans because they have a hard time finding meaningful employment due to their disabilities. So when musk/trump fire federal workers it impacts veterans more than others. Republicans are hurting disabled veterans the most.

Look no further than the felon-in-chief. He's mocked veterans from the get-go, disabled or not. I think its out of jealousy, that he never had the courage, or the inclination, to fight for something worth fighting for. I'm no psychologist, so I could be wrong. Just going off evidence of real events, not from any right-wing or lefty newscast, or website.

Cuts across the board , no one is singling out vets. That’s a bullshit argument .
I’m sure some are woman, so he hates woman , and I’m sure some are minorities too and you know how that goes … yawn what’s the next thing CNN is telling you to be pissed about.
Identity politics at its finest,

The government certainly could use streamlining, and reduction in wasteful spending. Reducing over-bloated government agencies and make them more efficient is a good thing. Even for disabled vets.

Accepting that non-citizens don’t have the right to due process tells the government that all they have to do is claim you aren’t a citizen to deny you the same. How will you prove otherwise?

What would Putin want?

There is one thing I have to give the felon credit for in my life personally. That is, he made me more inquisitive about politics. Mostly American politics since June 16, 2015, when the lying pos came down the golden escalator to announce his first presidential run, to now. His lies have only become more frequent and fantastical since, so it forces you to find some sort of truth. As bad as msm has been at times, they are still providing factual reporting for the most part, acting as a check against his lies, which a functioning democracy requires to hold its leaders accountable. I'm not talking about Faux News, or any of the right-wing sycophantic web news sites, lying to the consumers of that drivel. MSNBC and CNN on television, AP, NPR, and the Guardian in print, or on websites, just name a few seem to do that job pretty well. Actually, any news organization that dumpy derides as being "fake news", usually indicates the ones that are indeed factual.

I'm now much more attentive to the politics in Canada, which I have the orange cheetoh to thank. I see the value now, more than ever, after seeing how he is destroying the USA, of paying attention to what is happening municipality, provincially, and federally, so it can inform who I think will best serve in the offices they aspire to hold, and presently occupy. Obviously I'm Canadian, but it applies universally, to every country of the world.
