I have been looking all around and have not been able to get any info from anyone who has grown or smoked Northern Express from FastBuds Seeds.:wall: Does anyone have any info, I know it's an auto but does it produce any good bud?

Northern Express is a strain produced from the world famous indica Northern Light. It is very strong and gives high yield crops. Not demanding, it’s very appropriate for beginners as well as experienced growers. The effect fluctuates from a high to a total stone when used multiple times. Very balanced and long lasting.

Northern Lights x Ruderalis... should produce nicely man :weed:

OK, I read the descriptor from the breeder too, but I want to know about any first-hand accounts of growing and smoking. Breeders often have loftier descriptions than the product warrants.

Well there has to be a reason that the breeder keeps her on the list. I haven't seen it as a freebie on purchases so SOMEONE has to have bought them and tried them.

I am currently growing this strain and can be seen in my grow journal linked below.

Visited your grow, looking nice. I do have a question though, I have seeds for both the FastBuds Northern Express, an automatic and seeds for Delicious Seeds Northern Express Blue, a non-auto. From what I see, yours look more like the regulars. Also from what I can find, the auto seeds have BLUE flowers. Mighty inviting looking, and the non-auto is supposed to be a blue strain but I really haven't seen it anywhere even the foliage..

I believe the blue hues of the flower in the photos are a refraction of light from the flash of the camera being used and the trichomes. Though, I could be wrong. All my seeds are purchased from Castle, and even on their site the photo is the same. Hope I helped.

Also, FastBuds Northern Express is Northern Lights crossed with a ruderalis, just to make it become an auto. So, it should finish similar to this one shown below. Depending on your environment, of course.

OK, just for shits and giggles here's a pic or two of my Dutch Passion Auto Blueberry.DSCF2252.jpgDSCF2253.jpg :weed:I started germinating 2-14-13, seed sprouted 2 days later, so.........that makes it 38 days old and all of 11" tall but WIDE and since the DPABB is supposed to complete in 70-75 days it is about half way done. I quit the vegging(of the plant that is) about 10 days ago and have had it on ANs full regimen of flowering nutes since then. It started to stretch almost immediately and now it's putting on budage. Besides the terminal end of the main stem I habe 10 nice branches putting out buds, most have 2 or 3 buds starting.

My routine: vegging, SensiGrow A&B, 2 ml/l since BB is nute sensitive, and 1 ml/l of the filler nutes. When the flowers started coming on I switched to Connoisseur A&B plus nutes:bigjoint: at the same concentrations as vegging. I started with T5-6tube by 48" on a 16/8 schedule and since blooming cut it back to 12/12 and it likes it. Overnight growth is noticeable. It was so solid with big fan leaves it was blocking the light so I got out my trusty(not rusty) trimmer scissors and only removed 8 or 10 leafs to open it up.

There is another DPABB in the second WaterFarm you can see but it was germed 2 days ago and hasn't surfaced yet. No topping, just let it do its' thing. I originally had 3 auto BB seeds. The first one was doing real nice but a bit of stem rot killed it eventually. This is the tail end of my personal experiment with terrorizing plants for information.;) From now on I have a pretty good idea of what I safely can and cannot do to them.

I still have 2 FastBuds Northern Express Auto seeds but I'm going to pop my 00 Seeds Chocolate Kush or Rare Dankness Night Terror next.:eyesmoke:

OK, just checking since there is room for confusion with the names. Looking nice and frosty. Have you grown this before? I'm curious about yield. If it doesn't yield much I'll have to grow both at once for my meds and switch to kush or a hybrid as soon as harvested to keep my supply going. I can't afford street prices for my meds. Greedy bastards are getting $400 an ounce. I'm going to have to move back to the coast and grow big time.

No, I have not grown this strain before. Does not seem to be difficult and should yield very nicely. I had a Dutch Passion AutoXtreme, but for some odd reason it died during germination.

Cannabis prices are incredibly inflated. There's no better solution other than growing.

That's for bloody damn sure. I just have one problem that I have to be real careful about. I have an elementary school across from where I live. Don't piss off the neighbors.

Hey guys, bringing back this thread alive.
Regarding Northern Express from Fastbuds
if you read the description it says it is an autoflowering plant that flowers at 12-18 light period

does that mean i can just keep an 18/6 light period and it will flower automatically?
or is it better to flower it with my Super Skunk and Blue God that are on 12/12?

here is a pic of it at week 4-5

Week 3.jpg
Thanks for the info

I have been out of contact for a while due to compuker blowing up and I am also moving out of Montana too. I did finally get a opportunity grow the FastBuds NE seeds I have and they did pretty well despite a disaster or two in the early stages of vegging. Nice sold nugs I accidentally knocked one small one off (about the size of the end of my thumb) and it was dense and weighed almost 2 grams green. Looking forward to sparking it up after it dries.

I actually found the High to be pretty mild. I dont know if I got some bad genetics but my conditions were pretty good just maybe a little hot as I grew them in summer (indoor but the ambient temperature was still warm so it was always a bit warm in the grow box, plenty of fans though)
