Fastening Question: What type of screw?

I have a couple of wood panels That will be covering some of my gear up. I will want to be able to attach and detach this panel. I'm not really sure the best type of screw I want. I know drywall screws would work but eventually will chew up the threads made in the wood from over use. I'm looking for a higher quality screw that looks good too. Perhaps has a flange base or washer of some type on it. Almost like a cabinet screw. Any advice?

That could work of course. I would need some of those screws or post things to embedded in the wood. I forget what those are called.

I won't have access to the back of it. I think those one things are kind binding posts. Kind of like lag bolts but made for wood?

not realy sure..maybe u can fasten some reg bolts into the wood using liq nails that way the bolts wont move and u can just unscrew the wings?

this way you dont need screws that penetrate, unless you want them that way.
the flushmount hangs. and if you want to have it perfectly flush, you use a chizel
to releive the wood 1/8th of an inch for each side.

for light penetration you could use regular weather stripping, plus weather stripping will compress and provide back pressure for a rattle-free fit.

i am sure you can get these at your local hardware/cabinet shop.

I ended up getting what are called hanger bolts. They blew out my MDF though on two of them. oh well. I think it's a prob with the material used, not the bolt itself. Thanks for the replies guys.
