Lol yeah fair doos mateTbh it's unusual for anyone to sell grass/bud buy it's name, the name has become irrelevant because of people cutting corners and having limited experience, even when the name gets a mention I'm oblivious to it because of the above.
That’s the long way of saying I've not got a clue lol?
I know, it just looks like it, still no smell or special high and I don't want to diss the breeders just yetMakes sense in that it was a afghan plant that afghan t comes from but it wasnt a kush it was from mazari stock so northern afghani that was used in superskunk
What week you in i find some true kushes to be light in smell till week 4 to 5 of bloom ?I know, it just looks like it, still no smell or special high and I don't want to diss the breeders just yet
It's gone over 13 weeks as with the other 5 strains, so might be grower errorWhat week you in i find some true kushes to be light in smell till week 4 to 5 of bloom ?
I know you know your strains so if I say the sk1 is a huge cola of fluff you will know who it is fromIt's gone over 13 weeks as with the other 5 strains, so might be grower error
I think you are remembering Columbian or Jamaican Gold bud. It's a long, long shot but you never know?
When I younger seeded Afghan was the standard in grass, a friend/associate started dealing a little bit hash/grass, one time he arrived with this bit of amazing bud, real sensi lol.
Even now I occasionally get bits of bud that know is related to it with the taste.
So in uk late 80s what strain could it have been?
I know it could have been one of 100s but I'm looking for the usual suspects so to speak.
From memory it was more golden/light brown than green, it had a medium sweet spicy flavour really pungent.
I'd love to find it, I've never had any thats been similar in flavour only hints of it in various random bits?
I know it's a long shot but I don't expect there were to many strains available in the UK at the time?
Man - I never got it, but always wanted it. Super hard to get even back then. I'll have to check out HSC Blue Berry Muffin.Dabney Blue was bomb....I got that cut from the Swerve/APE days of clone vending.... Wish I still had it today.... I swear Humboldt Seed Companies Blue Berry Muffin reminds me of the Dabney..... I think those 90's references are str8 marketing bullshit also
"todays stuff" doesn't specify exactly. I'm sure it could be true about most of the crap that is going around.stuff today lacks tegrity. you just cross ABCxCDE and call it unicorn farts and it sells for dumb amounts of $$$
you literally proved my point. but legalization didn't exist back then. and you can thank the selection over the periods of decades to get your coveted "proven" clones. those are not new strains but the grandchildren of previously selected strains crossed with God knows how many landraces."todays stuff" doesn't specify exactly. I'm sure it could be true about most of the crap that is going around.
Sure line bred and homogenous genetics are a true art, but more important is selecting.
Many didn't have the space, time, or money to do actual selections like can be done today and it shows.
Everyone of my plants i run have been selected by 100 + to god knows how many seed stock, where there was only keeper. And that speaks for itself.
People think a strain or a cross is just that and its not at all. If you buy a pack or two of seeds and select a keeper, chances are its shit. Run 500 and select a keeper and you might find something special, or not. But the true art of selecting and breeding only the best of the best. Sure they arent stable or uniform. I dont run seeds, i run proven clones that alwasy impress, and blows the doors off any ak47, white widow, or any of the things we thought were good back then.
