the thing is it is a ripener/ hardener so giving it too early will harm your yield in some way i would imagine, never tried it though so i can't say for sure.

why are you growing plants at different stages on one res though?, no offence intended but that could be a recipe for some very poor bud.

the max strength application rate is 1ml/l i have gone to 1.5ml/l before but didn't really see any differing results. it is also very sludgy which could be a problem in re-ciculating systems.

let us know what you decide to do
Up until now (and no really) I have been using technaflora "recipe for sucess" veg is all the same week 1 to whatever and flower has three stages, normal nutes week 1-7 then week 8 you cut back on most and add a good deal more sugar daddy. then you flush for 3 days. I used to do that to the T but after some experimenting I saw no difference between the boost at the end and normal nutes so i stopped for the flush I move each plant to a 5 gallon bubble bucket (i have a 6 site homemade UC) I know lots of growers (my legal limit is 12 in flower) that set harvests for 6 a month, I however stager mine so i pull up 2 plants every week or two, its just more convenient and up until now it hjasnt effected the formula at all. I plan on keeping my set up but I am switching to lucas formula, which at its base is the same nutes throughout flower, so I am looking for an additive that allows me to use it throughout flower at the same levels.

well that's what im looking for as of now I am looking at bloombastic and rock resonator for flower (along with the lucas formula) and I don't have any additives for veg and idealy I would like one ore two noticeable additives for both stages so this is worth looking into thank you
Be careful using additives when running the Lucas Formula. I tried a blossom booster once with it and immediately had some unknown deficiency pop up after a few days. Something in the booster was locking out something in the Lucas formula. I stopped using the booster and the deficiency cleared up. My co-op partners nephew had the same problem with Lucas.

A hint about additives. Whenever you see anything that doesnt look right, like some discoloration or wrong looking growth, ask your self, "What was the last thing that changed?" Did you start adding something new? Usually it is the last thing you started adding that is causing it. A lot of additives will cause nutrient lockout.

Extra additives are not really necessary and your plants will reach their full peak with good complete hydroponic fertilizer only.

Soil:
I add dolimitic lime to my soil mix for calmag.
Foliar feed and soil drench with kelp in veg.
Maybe a little molasses to feed soil microflora throughout

hydro:
Base nutes + protekt

...yeah man, like i said earlier, i started out with that Recipe for Success and i walked away from it because i got tired of mixing all the different formulas.

here's a couple links, the first to a discussion of the use of MaxiBloom as a single, 1 part nutrient throughout, from seedling and clone through harvest, all with the same formula, kinda like a brain-dead easy Lucas formula.

the next 2 are to threads discussing the use of Jack's Pro which is believed by many to be a superior formula.

*The K.I.S.S. Method*

A question for the growers using Jacks

anyone using jacks 5-12-26 and calnit in coco?

...and here is a link to J.R.Peters, the company who make Jack's Pro and if you send them a sample of your water they will tailor a nutrient specifically for your water.

peace, bozo

btw, i'm also from little rhody.
