There are some headed in that direction, to turn the VC into a stand alone fertilizer. But, to say the least, it's not a fast process even with a well established worm bin(s). With a brand new bin like what you are doing, figure on a year at least.

This ^^ is pretty much a plain and simple fact. As essential as VC is you are still going to need to amend your soil.

Thanks guys for the info. Worms seem back to life... think they are enjoying slithering around my finished whale compost and barnacles. I will probably feed a mix of vegatables and comfrey and leave my amendments for my mixes.
