No young boys work there ! It is only 1 guy in his 30s & his mom fills in in the morning. I have never seen anything but full on attention to customers, one at a time. He has spent his entire adult life in the business from all sides.
Are we talking about 75 ave & Peoria, GREEN LIFE ?
Id like to hear from others that feel the place sucks & why, Ive had nothing but complete happiness with Him & most I have sent there really like the deals He will make for you.

Green Life is a pretty good store it's definitely a "Mom and Pop's" joint because he doesnt have a lot of brand name products outside of Botanicare, so you can tell he's a small time shop owner good place though if you want to grow with Botanicare the dude knows everything about Botanicare products I almost wanted to tell him " Wrap it up bro " because he went on and on about every Botanicare product lol. Good clean place, good soils some coco products. Like I said the dude who owns joint knows everything about every Botanicare product.

Sea Of Green, lol you are talking about the short young dude who works there..Lol Looks like a short Filipino? The owner is usually there during the day time. He's actually a cool dude, dont harsh your mellow these dudes cant hire and pay experts to run their shop while they are out running errands I cant imagine anyone working in those shops make over 12 bucks an hour. Outside of the owners the people who work at grow shops know as much as we all do.

Thanks for clearing up the post about GREEN LIFE. I was curious about boys & not getting excellent attention.

How hard is it to greet customers walking in the store? I was completely ignored while i wrestled with huge tent boxes...no expertise needed there...even after standing at the counter...I got no help. dudes were too busy to take my money. I find SOG overpriced and undermanned. VIVA La GROLOTS at Metrocenter!

Good to know ! He has used Botanicare for many, many years & does know the line extremely well. He will be caring GH line of products pretty soon. More shelving will be going in filled with more stuff ! I enjoy going somewhere & being treated well & that's only reason I post about the place.

Thats the store you like so why not give them a plug or two. If I decide to try Botanicare's line I'm definitely going to that dude and asking " what do I need"

Sea of Green is a well stocked store. My personal preference is to be left alone while shopping, it makes reading labels and making decisions easier. Plus, I am too used to the old way of doing things(tomato grower) when it comes to hydro shops. As long as the store has a good supply of the "tried & true", a good variety of new products to see and touch(mostly inspirational) and some sales & discount items, all is good.

I just stopped by a place called "Grotown" on 19th Street and Indian School... Pretty cool shop and pretty good prices. Pretty much had everything and even carry House and Garden nutrients.. I will be checking it out again soon.

The Hydro Closet sucks. I bought a bulb from them 4i months ago. I had one burn out on a Saturday night and they were the closest shop open on a Sunday. I go in to return it and the guy tells me that since its past 30 days I have to mail the bulb in myself and wait for a replacement. If I walk into HomeGrown with a burnt bulb, I walk out with a replacement that instant. So instead of waiting a day for HomeGrown to open, I have to wait days for a replacement. Not good customer service, ill never go back

Im with you here man. My only issue with SOG is I've gotten some pretty bad advice there when I was starting out.

I've been to 6 different hydro stores since the law was passed and they all have good and bad points. Most just want to sell you the latest, newest, most expensive light or nutrient or widget. For honest advice and customer service I go to the shop on 75th and Peoria, for pricing i go to azgrowing on greenway. I live close to Gonzo Grow, so in an emergency or if i'm too lazy to make the drive, i hit them up. After a year Gonzo is mellowing out and does help with useful advice.

The way Gonzo spams Craigslist is annoying as shit.

They are all the same. Not much difference in any of them, unless you like to go there and "shoot the shit"

I am a loyal sea of green customer. The people there always talk the truth with me and do not try and sell too much even though that's what they are in business to do. I also get discounts there on most things because I am a "green member"

I used to get all my stuff from Sea of Green but I dont shop there much anymore not because of anything they did or sold but simply because there are so many other stores its just easier for me to get my stuff. I use House and Garden nutes so I can only get them at Sea of Green, Hydro Depot, Gonzo Grow and Gro-town. I do also shop at Home Grown on Broadway and McKellips they have a little bit of everything plus the canna coco coir is truly the best shit on the market.
