this thread got high jacked man , Taliban/gihad style !!. I wanted to get some more info on this lollipoping thing tho, Like does it count on shoots too, i have noticed when i have a new branch it also starts of with three segment leaves and works its way up, should i prune the suckers from those too. i also tryed removing them right when they showed up on a 2 week old plant and i noticed faster growth of the next set. has any one seen this?

Lolli popping isn't sound horticultural practice. Foliage is needed for a stronger plant. Lolli-popping isn't done for any annual in the commercial greenhouses. It's just not a good idea.

U have a rattlesnake in your garden. That's cool. A guard snake? I like how u sunk the pots into the ground. I do that for tropicals that come out of the greenhouse for the summer. It holds moisture better. It stays cooler. Those plants must reak at flowering

well i thought it was good for air flow, i don't have much of an airflow issue cuz am in a green house but i have seen pruning work tho, i am no pro at cultivating mj in pots but i do liv of a farm,.we grow bananas and tomatoes most, and i have seen pruning work with our tomatoes , if you cut suckers off the plant redirects energy to the rest of the suckers meaning larger tomatoes, you can get large tomatoes by over watering them but they don't get as big and they have no flavor,(this is also determined by strain) when you get big ones by pruning suckers you also get less, but like mj we sell the tomatoes by wight so it all ends up the same and cuz of the neatness of the plant and limited branching we can put them closer to each other which makes for a large yield of large tomatoes. so am not sure if lollipoping is all bad or not cuz i know plants need foliage but i also know you can manipulate plants yields and growth for both good and bad by pruning foliage and suckers so am giving it the benefit of the doubt ( Am a cynic i have to try every thing to make up my mind)

Tomatoes have the damn suckers. lol It is weird how they lose flavor when you do that, huh. I'm growing some Green Zebra tomatoes this year.
Sorry if I sounded rude. I just see people prune stuff like it's an Orchard or vineyard. Not taking into account those are perennials.

its a good thing most of us are not in the "commercial greenhouse"market.

trimm all that bottom growth off,let the rest of the plant use the energy.

those are not pots. they are shallow rings to help retain my water when i water.

as long as your plant is still vegging you can clip whatever you want to clip. :)
