Fear of Mold! Build a greenhouse???

Hey homeskillets! Have some ladies going into preflower/flower and we have morning fog that comes in through the hills from the ocean come harvest time. I’m very worried with the size of the colas, that mold will be a problem. Should I build a cheap greenhouse and have a canopy over them or will that keep humidity in? If I put a cover up and put fans out there under the canopy will that help? I’m just worried about cost because I’ll have to do battery operated/rechargeable fans out there. Any tips or tricks?

Hell yeah. Ok will do. I’ve been doing that in the morning after dew comes. I’m going to tie out (gently) the lower branches to the lower tomato cage to spread the girl out. Thanks for the reassurance. I also have a strain that is mold resistant but you know that probably doesn’t mean much. (Gush Mints) Thanks again

also i found anything with blue in it does very well in mold country.

I grow outdoors in OKlahoma, plenty of humidity here! Buy some Zerotol and start spraying proactively, it is just super charged hydrogen peroxide and leaves no residue! Game changer for getting me through powdery mildew in flower. I have even washed freshly harvested buds in it, when I was concerned about possible molding during drying. Just grabbed a gallon on Amazon! Thank you! When’s the best time of day to spray? And so I spray every inch of the plant? Thanks again.

Before 10 am or after 3 pm is what the instructions say, I believe. I usually spray in the evening a couple hours before sunset, never have had any issues with plant burn. Yes, spray every inch. I knew one grower that sprayed every day at one point, with no ill effects. Just follow the mixing directions and you will be fine!

As quoted from the manufacturer, " ZeroTol 2.0, which debuted in 1998 and is BioSafe Systems' flagship product, contains two active ingredients: hydrogen peroxide (27%) and peroxyacetic acid (2%)." From what I understand, the peroxyacetic acid stabilizes the hydrogen peroxide so that it takes longer to break down, which makes it more effective at treating molds and funguses.
