I live inan area that was a WWll training facility it was closed and the land sold off many years ago.
Several years ago some live bazooka rounds were found by some kids playing on there property. Which started a firestorm of inquirys from other property owners...about 2 yrs ago I recieved a letter from the feds informing me of their intention to check my land for any unexploded ordinance
This happened at the begining of the year of 2010 a meeting was scheduled a a represenitive from the company doing the eradication met with me and told me what their intentions were and what time frame they would b operating in. I was told they would b thru by Easter of that year. They did finish within their time frame but not before finding an unexploded artillary shell 105 howitzer it was located about 10 foot from the back of my house and it was live...over the years prior to this I would find pieces of exploded ordinance but nothing I found to be dangerous...That particular year I just started my outside crop later than I normally do...which brings me to this. I just recieved a letter yesterday informing me they want to come back and check my property AGAIN but this time I have 8 5 foot females growing on my property......I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope I can delay this process untill harvest time which looks like late september early october..so just aim your good thoughts towards the oldtimer in N.C. and hopefully I can make it thru this with no problems...........Peace

Very inconvenient, but, idk, just kind of one of those things. Maybe someone had found some other live munitions after they had checked which prompted them to come back around a second time.

Just watch your step in the meantime, lol.

You r right billybob420 something was found by one of my neighbors this past fall. He was building a pond. The local law came by and said they were going to detonate it in place. The road was blocked and a short time later I heard and felt the blast..

Was there any date given for their next inspection? Figures you'd have to be there for them to legally search your property for anything based on your 4th amendment right, but idk the gov pretty much does what the fuck it wants now-a-days.

It could be the case tho, that as long as your not there to accept a search warrant or give your permission or whatever, that they couldn't do it.

May want to post something about it in the Legal Edge section of the Cannabis Cafe forum here. I think there's a few lawyers on there sometimes. (or at least ppl who know about the law)

Make sure the word gets out that there's plenty of unstable unexploded ordnance laying around your property and the bad part is it seems to be laying just beneath the top layer of dirt. Tell folks that as soon as they scrape up enough of the last fellow to come tripping through so they can ID him you intend to charge his survivors with the cleanup.
