I live inan area that was a WWll training facility it was closed and the land sold off many years ago.
Several years ago some live bazooka rounds were found by some kids playing on there property. Which started a firestorm of inquirys from other property owners...about 2 yrs ago I recieved a letter from the feds informing me of their intention to check my land for any unexploded ordinance
This happened at the begining of the year of 2010 a meeting was scheduled a a represenitive from the company doing the eradication met with me and told me what their intentions were and what time frame they would b operating in. I was told they would b thru by Easter of that year. They did finish within their time frame but not before finding an unexploded artillary shell 105 howitzer it was located about 10 foot from the back of my house and it was live...over the years prior to this I would find pieces of exploded ordinance but nothing I found to be dangerous...That particular year I just started my outside crop later than I normally do...which brings me to this. I just recieved a letter yesterday informing me they want to come back and check my property AGAIN but this time I have 8 5 foot females growing on my property......I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope I can delay this process untill harvest time which looks like late september early october..so just aim your good thoughts towards the oldtimer in N.C. and hopefully I can make it thru this with no problems...........Peace
