Stockton, and cities like Harrisburg have huge finacial issues but their populations are not even close to the major cities. Race has nothing to do with fucked up city management. Why not discuss the historical decision making and local management within the context of the economy to explain why these cities have problems

It is intellectually lazy to think race has anything to do with why these municipalities are facing finacial difficulties.

I agree, city management issues are as unique as the people who make up the city.

If there is any way to run a country, it's by doing it locally and within the context of community. Not like paying taxes to support your neighbor because it's the law, but a community of people willing to be a part of each others lives because they want to live and share together and work towards making life easier for the next guy. Every community is unique and cannot be expected to be given sweeping rules of authority. A single governing body just seems to entangle things.

i was curious as to why theWoman13 chose three predominantly black cities to pick on, when there are cities in far worse shape.

it seems odd to choose three predominantly black cities as examples when there are cities in much worse shape, just without the black population.

like i said, it's a phenomenon i see on white supremacist sites when doing opposition research. i think it is a disgusting, racist tactic. therefore, i oppose it.

people on those same websites have also taken to calling anti-racism a codeword for anti-white, which is the exact same strategy you just tried to employ towards me.

most of the recent deficit reduction we are seeing is thanks to the increase in taxes on the very wealthy via the expiration of the bush era tax cuts, which republicans opposed tooth and nail.

so to blame obama for bush's (record) deficit and to credit the republican's with obama's deficit reduction is a pure lie.

In 2009 under complete Democratic control and signature of the President (Obama), House (Polosi) and Senate (Reid) deficit spending was clearly and without question tripled. FACT Yet to some this is neither irresponsible nor unpatriotic because? Maybe someone would like to "explain" how Obama "inherited" this deficit from Bush a year earlier negating any accountability and justifying this deflection of responsibility.

Why Would Bush pay for Obama's "2009 Summer of Recovery"?

Jerry Duval surrendered to federal authorities in June to serve out a 10-year sentence for marijuana distribution at the Federal Medical Center Devens prison in Massachusetts. His wife, Tracey, said in an interview with The Huffington Post that he has suffered two hemorrhages in his eye since then. After the first one several months ago, Duval never received the outside medical care he needed, she alleged. And a second hemorrhage on Wednesday left him almost without sight in his right eye, his wife claimed.
"It's actually the worst one that he's ever had," said Tracey, who said she spoke to Duval over the phone after his eye worsened on Wednesday. "If this situation doesn't get taken care of, he could lose his eye."
Tracey and the advocacy group Americans for Safe Access are urging the Federal Bureau of Prisons to allow Duval to visit an outside doctor to treat his glaucoma and retinal problems. They previously sought Duval's compassionate release on the grounds that his numerous transplants and other medical problems would be better treated in a general population hospital.
Chris Burke, a Bureau of Prisons spokesman, told HuffPost over email that the agency does not comment on individual prisoners' medical conditions.
"I can tell you that we provide appropriate and necessary medical care to inmates in our custody," he said.

O i got a feeling he is. i feel like he's in the midst of another migration. he's been threatening exodus for some time now. i imagine he's made his way back to the redwoods or maybe went across the pond? lol hell bucks probably down in Uruguay kicking back with some señoritas making friends with Uruguayan politicians and millionaires lol
