i get meds form MY grower and my grower only and pay nothing. i did like i said buy wheni was NOT a card holder just like every one else.
im am done trying to make a point so go ahead and think and do what you like, it will all come back to you guys who think it is ok to charge patients black market prices.

Yep, the ole rule of thumb is 99,96, i.e 4 growers with, i.e. 4 patients, i.e. six plants. Some stay even under that, to be safe. Figure how many patients at 24 oz you got out of that scenario, and figure out, per year, what weight is generated at even a pound per plant outdoors, which I believe is pretty easy to do. Then see what is extra. I believe you'll find plenty extra, lets hope oil, tincs, hash, etc is made of it. Cause to a reg joe, thats a lot of extra, if it is being sold, and I feel like it might be a magnet of sorts, in a bad way, lets hope not.

Don't know about that, but 100 - 999 is mandatory minimum 5 yrs. just watched and heard that again the other night on a documentary on t.v., and I think 1,000 plants or more might be man. min. 25 yrs.
This is gonna be a bummer, because once in a great while I have to get a few grams at a club just to get me by until I see my grower again. It was nice and convenient to be able to get good quality medicine and products if needed. I guess we all will suffer one way or another in this.
I just hope that this will all come to an end one day, don't you all.
I beg the DEA and U.S. Government to let us enjoy this healing herb without fear of punishment. Please let the States set their own rules and guidelines, and let them govern their own. Or better yet just Legalize it!

I am still in disbelief that it is illegal in the first place. God created all things that grow for our use, for government to deny that which was given by our creator is just wrong imo.
THCF head got popped and his tax exempt status revoked a bit ago. 5 mill a year they were generating, of course he wasn't taking any from the pot......ogf has become a tax exempt non profit...........now today in the news, think its related, Im not sure, but.....

I'm new here, and new to OMMP I just got my card. If I may pipe in with my opinion on what you are all saying. I used to grow myself about 13 years ago, and know the costs involved. I believe there are valid points on both sides of the argument. If it wern't for the patients the growers could not grow legally, if not for the growers most patients could not get meds without growing it themselves or buying it off of the streets. It should be a relationship between the two. The way I think it should work is like this: The patient should get FREE meds from their grower whether it be a few OZ a month or more depending on the yield etc... What is left over the grower can do with it as he sees fit, like sell it to a dispensary for those that do not have growers, or are waiting for the crop to come in etc.. to recoop costs. We all know that the number of patients far exceed the amount of growers that are out there. I know this first hand as I am trying to find a grower myself and am having a hard time finding one that does not want to get rich off of me ( However I think I may have found one that is a decent person ). Example if you take a grower selling it at 150.00 an ounce and he is getting ( this is a very small amount per plant ) 2 .OZ per plant at 6 plants per patient times 4 patients that is 48 .OZ at 150.00 that comes to 7,200.00 per harvest. This is FAR more than enough to cover costs etc... I'm not looking to be greedy, and I don't want my grower to be either. I want it to be a partnership. I would be more than happy finding a grower that could just give me a few OZ a month. I get my meds and he can have the rest. Anyway I hope you can see it from both points of view.

So what are you doing for the few oz's a month?? giving him the pleasure of growing for you, do you supply the 6 plants he is going to grow for you, or maybe you pay his elect. bill, or help trim and harvest the crop, crops take more than 90 days to come in and I am doing something wrong because I am only getting OZ's from a plants, not pounds.

Zildjian - the error in your thinking is that it's not legal to get reimbursement from anyone except the patient you grow for. People do, yes, but at their own peril. I personally give patients 1 oz free per month then charge a very very reasonable reimbursement for anything they want over that ounce...everyone seems happy and I get help with the bills...I'm certainly not getting $7k profit per harvest!

I would be more than willing to help with any labor involved, and even trying to obtain seeds, and or starts. I just can't pay any money right now. I'm not talking like I want pounds of it myself. I would just be happy with an OZ or two a month. Like I said I'm not looking to cash in on someone else, and wish to find someone that is not looking to cash in on me.

Sorry Zild yesterday was not a good day for me, I got my card a few months ago and started a grow ( within the law) had an ageless freind call me yesterday and ask if I would grow for them( I thought great some help with all these bills ie. elect. water, credit cards) I funded all my growing equipment with a card to keep track on what I was spending which exceeded my income quite a bit. so I said sure how about $100 an OZ.... Boy did I here it!!! WHAT your going to charge ME!!! I thought we were freinds???? I tryed to explain my situation and how any contrabution would be appreciated, BUT He was not hearing it, being a newbe at this I have made a few costly mistakes IE. a ph meter that was not working properly and I fed my plants with 1.3 ph nutes, killed over 10 6 week old clones I bought at a club in portland and the list goes on. I haven't even produced a smokeable bud yet and am paying over $300 a month on my card. sorry about the outburst I did not mean to unload on you. MJ
