I've grown dwc, hydro tables, soilless mixes with liquid nutrients and organic premixing with water only. Coco, blumats, and synthetic nutrients was by far the easiest and most trouble free method of growing followed by flood and drain with synthetic nutrients. I still do organic soil grows but those are my outdoor plants I grow over the summer. Those grow just fine as well. Indoors I prefer growing in coco.
It just shows how each person is different.. I myself have done all those methods as well as coco.. I find organic to be the easiest and most effect way for me..

I have nothing against organic. I'm just not bringing what I mix inside. I add my own compost and EWC I make. My compost is a vermicompost pile on the ground full of critters and crawlies. The outdoor plants grow great with just water only. I reuse old soil, add some compost and EWC. This year I'll be feeding with some JLF made from cannabis trimmings. I don't bother with teas or anything else. The JLF is so easy. Just keep tossing trim in a bucket with some water.

Not sure where you're located but there is no 4.4lb container of maxi in the U.S., only 1kg, 16lbs, and 50 lbs.

I purchased a 16lb. container for $90 a month ago, works out to about $.06/gal, 1kg bags are $18 at the local hydro store.
It's the $20 shipping for two 1 kg (2.2 lb.) bags that gets you !

Cheers

This is one of the reasons I don't do organic.
I would do organic if it was the same price as synthetic and pre-made. What a hassle running around trying to find all of those ingredients. We only have one garden center locally and they would charge me around $250 for all of that. For instance, I’d I wanted oyster shells I can’t just buy the amount I wanted, I’d have to buy a huge bag. Same with the rest.

You do not have to go to garden centers to obtain your materials..

Oyster shells came from a feed store, Alfalfa pellets came from a feed store, peat came from Lowes, mushroom compost came from landscaping company, sheep manure is cheap at any box store, the only products that may be hard pressed to source locally would be your dry amendments but they too are not hard to obtain.

We should start a Counterintuitive thread on the absolute hardest way to grow plants.
Here’s a good start

1 bale peat. 1 part mushroom compost, 1-2 parts top soil..
Around 1 1/2- 2 cups of lime..
A couple handfuls of oyster shells
A few big handfuls of Alfalfa pellets
50 litres of composted sheep manure
5 gallons of chicken manure
50 litres of Sea Compost
A few handfuls of worm castings
Several handfuls of bunny poop
Around 1 1/2 - 2 cups of epsom salt
Eggshell powder " a handful"
8 cups of Gaia Green All Purpose
8 cups of Gaia Green Power Bloom

I’m actually going to throw a couple autos in with my tomatoes for fun and to see what happens. They’re all organic. Also if I gift some weed next Christmas it’ll be nice to say it’s 100% natural because most of the stuff you get is probably synthetically fed.

for the sake of my first grow and becoming familiar with how it all works I’m just KISS. Ext year I’m thinking greenhouse and photoperiod plants with half organic and half synthetic.

From a marketing perspective, if you put “100% Organic” and list the story of these ingredients on the package the organic would probably fetch a premium and sell faster. I’ve even heard of people saying the smoke is way better….anyway.

But will it compress into a cube on top of a pyramid.
