Feeding the gurls.

I have no experience with the sure to grow, but I have
seen that they come in various sizes. If you just got the
cubes that's cool but I think there's like a "hail" sized pellet
that you can use to fill your entire netpot. This should
give you all the advantages of PH neutrality as well as no
dirt floating around your system. It doesn't really look like
you have much hydroton in the netpots so it might be kind
of a moot point. But maybe for next go-round.

I checked on the plants and when I looked at my reservoir the roots are tangled together. Is that good or bad? Also the gurls have grown a little bit since Friday. I was planning on swapping out the nute solution this evening so I'll post pics then.

While one plants individual roots getting tangled into itself is fine, if you're starting
from seed and need to cut out males I can't recommend letting the plants tangle
with each other.

I changed out the solution to just plain water PH is stable. Did not add any nutes tonight. Just gonna see how the gurls respond to this. I'm worried about the roots getting tangled up because I think I'm gonna have to transplant them into bigger net pots as time passes. Here are some pics.

Here is an update on my progress. The plants are growing, not sure if they are growing fast, slow, or what. Just a reminder I'm running a 400 watt mh right now 18 on 6 off. Fox Farm Hydro Grow big. I just built a 4x4x6.5' closet for them. I also got the walls lined with Mylar.
Here are some pics

Oh yeah small new leaves are sprouting from where the branch and limb meet. I'm trying to decide when to go to 12 on 12 off.

Update: It's been a week since I switched to 12/12 and I have 2 males and 2 females. I'm thinking about getting Dutch Master Reverse and not cutting down my males to keep all the plants for harvest.
I have had a little bit of trouble along the way. I'm pretty sure that I have became the victim of root rot. To counteract the problem I got some Hygrozyme and SM-90. The plants have made a full recovery, but the PH level goes up really quick now. My reservoir temp is 73 F and PPM is 1400. As the flowering continues I'll be using CNS 17 bloom and Bontanicare Citrus flavor mineral supplement for taste and to take the place of CalMAg plus.
Pics coming soon.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Anyone got any suggestions on how to handle theses 2 males? Dutch Master reverse, is that a good move, or no? If you are wondering the Martin Mean Green is a a definate female and the Julio has 1 female and 2 males. I don't have any more Martian Mean Green either, I messed up the seeds.:dunce:

Can you segregate the males out of the system? This would help give more light
and growing room for the rest of the females. I don't really know what reverse is,
as I've killed every male I've had.

If you have the extra room you could try keeping the better male alive for pollen
and using it to pollinate a bud or two so you have seeds for the future.
