feels good to be back indoors

GG #4 21 days into flower, first grow indoors in three years. I was not prepared for the level of amature growing that's now taking place since its become legal to grow your own. WATCH OUT FOR BUGS POEPLE. 5 different grows I went to seeking genetics, and I settled on thrips as the bug I had to clean of these clones. The other choices were Broad mites, russet mites, spider mites and fungas knats.

Preditiory mites in place, with a few sprays of asprin to boost the immune system of the plants and they thrips are history.

I am exsited as heck! tell me what you guys think? its been so long I don't even know what to expect of it! but dang it looks good for 3 weeks compared to the outdoor I have been doing lately.

Peace Love and LightVZM.IMG_20160316_120225.jpg VZM.IMG_20160316_120300.jpg

What state are you in? I take a 30x loop with me when I pick up clones. I've seen what I thought was leaf damage from bugs (that must have been subsequently sprayed), but never seen an actual live or dead bug on a clone at a dispensary. The employees there will often refer to their clones as being "inspected and certified clean", but I have no idea by whom or what that actually means. Most of the time the clones are out on shelves with the public handling them, so I am always prepared for the worst. I just haven't seen what you have, at least not active bugs while they are on the shelves at the dispensary. I'm in the PDX area of OR, btw.

The grow looks great! I seem to be excited about the outdoor by springtime, and ready for another indoor by fall... each has its own benefits and issues.

I live in Oregon as well, I don't have the option to go into a dispensery my self, so I got these clones from another grower, I went to 5 different growers in all looking for genetics and every single one of them had bugs. I'm feeling like I have things under control here but I wont be feeling good until 6 months from now. I have enough genetic stash now to keep me happy for awhile and will have acess to other peoples outdoor plants this year to take my own cuttings.

Man I feel you on the outdoor, I am going to be missing out this year, last year I did an old school gurilla grow and came out with 6 lbs of nice cola buds and around a half p of really good oil. for about 250 bucks invested.. yea outdoor has its advantages.. lol.

You plants look super healthy! What medium are you growing in? I see what looks like some T5's in your first picture, are you mixing it up or are you growing under 100% fluorescent? My first grow was under CFLs, I've gone LED/COB since, but that first run was the frostiest bud I've grown. Fluorescent lights don't get the respect they should, IMHO.

Currently my little 2x4 tent is over-crowded, but I do have one GG#4 in there. Here's a pic of mine from my day 25 (I think that's where you are now?) and then one from today (my day 35).

Hey thanks man :), I'm growing in 50 50 perlight and ocean forest, using flora nova and powder kool bloom, I also use clean 20 ppm water. Genreal organics cal mag, Epsom salts and molasas.

As for the lights, I'm using usios hilux gro, hps conversion bulb on one side and the other side I switched out to a ushio HPS bulb at the end of week two. the CFL and T5 light are Equiped with UVB spectrum bulbs. also the ballast make a difference in the quality of light as well, I'm running phantom twos, I also have a solies tek I'm testsing out.

If anyone is wondering if its worth the extra money in my opinion to get a ushio bulb vrs any other bulb. it is, most notably the HPS conversion bulb for vegging/early flower

Also on a side note on Florecents, i agree that they don't get enough love. I'm currently starting an expresident, (Lester ogxobama kush) under a 8 blub t5. i couldent resist after the strain wanted to grow wider then it did tall without any topping.. its currently about 16 across and 10 inches tall, the name of the game with florecents is keeping your lowest buds 10 inches from the bulb.. not that easy with most strains

I've got a couple of "reptile" bulbs at either end of my tent for UVB, this is my first run using them. I'm also running 3000/4000/5000k COBs, although half are 3000. I'm trying to keep it mixed up and varied, if I had more money and no heat issues I'd add other things. The more the merrier... but I think what I've got is working.

Looks like you're heading towards an awesome harvest. :)

I'm so old school >< I feel like I got some badass new tech because of a digital ballast :P, I have never even begain to mess with led due to their iffy performance/price point, that being said these cob leds are intesting me more and more. I'm sure ill get on the led train at some point, although I'm probably going to mess around with double ended bulbs first.

Uvb works, your going to like what the reptile bulbs do, keep them pretty close they don't do much after about 18 inches from the bulb. the closest I have gotten them is 3 inches, and I feel like that was pushing it, the uvb can burn the plants in too high a dose

The other uvb I'm trying out are the Hortilux power veg t5 bulbs. they have a lot of uvb and also a nice spectrum to compliment hps.

Day 28 Things are looking pretty damn good, just started giving them dry kool bloom a few days ago, this stuff is potent use it lightly. I start with just under 100 ppms of it and work from there. I do not use liquid kool bloom dry only, starting around the 4th week.
