Only way u got a male off a feminized seed is if you dealt with shady seedbanks and breeders. if you buy from a reputable source, you will get 100% female, and at worst, it will turn hermie on you if you dont treat her right.

When breeders create feminized seeds, there is 0% for a male. They use Colladial Silver or something like that, to turn a female, into a hermie (so it produces pollen). they then take that pollen, and pollenate "true" females. the ones that just have female parts. The XX gene is locked into the hermies pollen, and the XX gene is locked into the female mother. This results in ALL offspring being XX genetics. since the hermie was a "XX" and went to "XXY" (a hermie). ALL the offspring have a chance of going from XX genetic to XXY (hermie) genetic if treated badly. things such as environmental conditions
There is no such thing as 0% chance of gettin a male from fems. Fem seeds are 70% - 90% gareenteed female no matter who you buy from

I've heard that males from femenized seeds are called proto males. They carry all the dominant traits of that particular strain. They can also be used to make femenized seeds. This is not from my own experience but a friends. I did get a male from a femenized seed awhile back and tossed it. Wouldve kept it if I knew then what I know now.

ya it would be high 90%'s female rate. Ive grown 200+ fem seeds all female. only some hermied.

As much as you may all believe that you CANNOT get a male from even quality fem seeds, you are wrong. Search on here for how many people this has happened to, not uncommon. As much as the xx theory works in your mind you are forgeting 1 thing, mother nature. She will make sure that the plants try to carry on the species. If you do a lot of research on this you will find out that "feminized" seeds were originally called "female" seeds but after soo many complaints of not just hermies, but also males, they changed the name the "feminized" seeds. That is what they are, feminized, therefore MORE likely to produce a female, but no promises. I am sure you are all saying i am wrong right now, and if you are i encourage you to investigate further, as i have spent a fair amount of time on this, wanted to know the risks of not only growing fem seeds, but also making fem seeds.
Amen brother i was just about to comment on how stupid ppl are and the fact that fem seeds will always NO MATTER WHAT!!!! have a small chance of turning hermie or male for that matter

as well high stress will make it herm or go male

tokin smoker you are misinforming lots of people and you yourself are misinformed. You no SOME basics of genetics but not everything you seemed to miss the part about that a female hermie can produce male seeds not a male hermie but a male seed please research fully before you start getting all big shot calling names an so forth. his seeds probably werent femd so problem solved.

Thank you guys for the backing up! I know that i am right, but it only takes a few to spread really bad info, and make everyone believe it is true. Anyone who really understands the BASICS of how genetics works sees that there is an error in the theory of xxy + xx never making a xy. It will happen, if nothing else the laws of probability say it must be so.
