lets keep it clean......
facts
fem seeds not a 100% that you will get a true female.... only about 95%
out of a fem seed you are more likely to get a hermie then a male.....
if a plant has both male and female preflowers it is a hermie it doesnt matter when the male side shows up... if any of this is not true then by all means tell me the truth.........
you are more likely to get a male than a true hermaphrodite.
it is also true that most indicas (fem seed or not) will produce singular banana shaped flowers in a fully ripened bud, which is believed to be a last resort reproductive measure, and never effects the quality of the buds because not only are you about to cut them down {no time for seeds to develope}, most of the "nanners" are infertile. this is 100% experience right there, and is backed up by others, who also have experience in the matter.
it is also true that some seed sellers are sham artists, and will sell you junk which you interpret to be something that it truly isn't. it's true that a breeder tests a few hundred of his/her/their seeds to ensure that this is not going to happen to you, the customer. why? if they sell you bs, they don't sell anymore.
fem seeds from a reliable seedbank will produce about 90% females, and are about as likely to herm as any other normally bred male to female. arguably, it can be said that you're more likely to get herms from normal seeds, as most bag seed is accidental anyway.
it's true that a hermaphrodite can pass on it's traits to the seeds. a plant that self pollinates is very likely to produce hermaphrodite offspring. this is not feminized, this is selfed.
proper feminization involves more than one plant. a healthy plant is pollinated with pollen collected from a flower of a different plant.
in the end, fem seeds are not really worth the extra money or effort involved. in all the seeds i've sprouted i've noticed close to a 75% female ratio from normal seeds, from a pool of many strains. buy a ten pack. you WILL get females.
