i grew one of the shortest flowering strains(EARLY MISTY) and it was still 7 1/2 weeks of flower

thanks HealthInspector ill do that this time around and ill go to radio shack as soon as my buds start to for. Also where do i go to get something that lets me know the pH levels in the soil because Ive never checked that nor know what its soposed to be at. Slab are you saying that im over fertilizing and i should only use it every 3 days

let me, 1st topping is when cutting the top of your plant so as to grow 2 more nodes where there would have been one. its done for several reasons one of which is to keep the plant short and bushy as opposed to tall and xmas tree like. cant find the link right now but there are some great tutorials on it here. 2nd i always check the ph of my water or food before i feed and check the runoff water. 3rd the reason he said it looks like you should be flowering is because a plant usually doubles in size durring flower and you have some really nice and TALL looking ladies there. but if you have the room then by all means grow as tall as you like. your nutes.,its obvious with nice looking plants that your not doing bad on yr own. read your plants and see if they need more, they will tell you as they will deff tell if your feeding too much. hope i helped a bit. as for your original prob sorry thats a new one to me. great looking garden looks like a jungle in there. may your gardens as well as your thumbs forever be green.

Well a pretty hectic thread with lots of advice. Lets try and refine some of it.
First of i thought you were watering and feeding too much, every three days by the sound of it, plants look of but is the soil drying in between waterings? You may be just adding a certain amount of water every three days allowing the soil to stay moist and not waterlogged so this might be working. I do think we need to look into the watering schedule first so please expand this subject.
Yer i only mentioned topping cause they looked tall, first things first on the list so lets talk watering and ferts.
I like your garden, looks green with just minor issues, very good indeed, i wouldn't rush to change things if they are working. Flowering can be a shock to the grower, plant takes on lots of ferts and soil starts to get acidic from the ferts. A flush cleans the soil from the fert build up and brings the pH back up. Most growers underfert or toxify the soil to some degree, hence no tasting crap bud.
It would take me a long time to explain pH and acidic soils, really hard for the new grower to grasp and understand, reading soil runoff is only half of it and dosen't really tell you if the soil is acidic or not. Suffice to say the only cure to acidic soil is lime. Well drained soil, organic ferts and wet and dry cycles help stop the soil being acidic where as damp wet fertilizer rich conditions promote acidity.
Any questions on pH then please research it yourself and then get back to me and ask questions, you need a basic knowledge before i can explain soil pH etc etc, in the end you wont even check the pH of the soil and runoff as you will know it is perfect but until then you got a lot of reading to do.
As always i like your plants and setup, very good, i like the fact that we have a lot of newish members contributing to this thread, maybe we can all learn somthing together and work through these problems with input from everyone. Fire away guys. Peace.

thanks alot for the help it was very help full. As for my watering ill exsplain this more i use that red cup in my pics to water. I fill that entire cup up per plant once a day everyday. i alternate between plain water and nutes water every other day right now the nutes im using 2 tablespoons of big bloom and 3 teaspoons of grow big per gallon of water ill be changing this sat. because ill be putting all my ladies into flowering hope this time it works out better. also should the smell be really strong right now because if it is i dont really notice it but it could be because im used to it or will it get stronger when they start buding

Smell gets strong near the end of budding, dont worry bout that now. So you are gigving each plant a little water each day? This can be a good method of watering but is a lot trickier than watering the whole pot one day then waiting few days for it to dry again.
Your plants look good so stick with what you know but i and a lot of others water differently, i have used your method before but found it tricky to keep going, why did you choose that method of watering out of intrest??
Plants look good so put into flower and take it from there, as plants flower they put on a lot of growth through leaves and buds, when this happens you will need to change to flowering nutes slowly and start upping the dose to compensate for the extra growth, dont worry about that yet but gives you time to do some solid reading and research, i am guessing your last grow was seriously underfed hence small tasteless buds, this would happen if you held back on ferts, plant underdevelops and at the same time you are thinking am i giving too much ferts. My plants can take a lot of ferts, almost to the point of burning, this is when i flush.
There is a few things you could change about your grow like the watering but i can only advise, you have to find out what works best for you. Overwatering can drop a plant dead in no time and also wreck the flowering period. Peace

Happy plants don't emit an oder unless you shake them . Usally (unless its just a stinker strain) If you can smell them something is wrong . I'm pissed if I can smell them ! Resin production picks up after wk4 but some strains resin out better than others . I do know that since I started Dyna Grow Mag Pro in flower resin is at its best ever !

umm i would say crap strain i ordered some ww seeds that ended up being total shit sometimes dispensorys get clones from sources they dont know and the clones are shit strain 8( happens in denver alot i might recommend fox farm soil or new strain a 400 should do ok so its not the light but sometimes even respectable seed banks get bad batches if they were healthy till the end and sorry ass thc i would guess its the strain great strains give good pot under even half ass conditions ideal conditions make great pot in my experience solid genetics are the foundation of a grow good luck
