Female-male ratio

hey i have a general question what is the probality of getting females if i germinate 10-12 bagseed seeds? the seeds are from some good stuff but i dont know if i should even waste time,energy and nutes.
thanks any replies will get some rep.

i used to think that it was 70/30 but after this current spread of germ'd seeds im thinking more along the lines of 60/40 on the average. so, if all 12 seeds germ'd id hope for 7-8 females and 4-5 males. its a decent spread, never germ less than 10 seeds if your doing normal (i say) even if its a small grow, weed out the week ones after the males show. that way yo cen get the best harvest. take another toke rant rant rant......................


plain answer: in my opinion its 60/40 female/male.

it has always been 50/50 for me with the seeds floating around Humboldt, seed company's could be different I guess

I agree. 50/50. Bag seed, you never know.. it could end up being 33/33/33 (female/male/hermi) that means you have a 33% chance that each seed could be a female. but not a guarantee.

its never a waste, i use the males for hash making

ok i can live with 33% probality. Im germinating 10 seeds lets see what happens. Thanks guys

I dunno what the usual percentage is. For my grow goin on now, from bagseed out of 3 plants I started now all 3 are female.
I have 4 baby sprouts don't know what they'll be for a while.
But yeah, I was hoping for atleast 1 to be female and they all are so I got lucky.
Still a very small first grow so far
