Sometimes traits get more hidden or harder to find when selfed or bread. Might take 20 to find that lemon flavor but when one finds what they are looking for it is like the holy grail.Ok, so I'm Sold on FMS C99... Grew their Lemon Kush last year and it was some good smoke (although no lemon on my 3 phenos), so that was a bit disappointing. Nothing but good (great !) reports on their C99 so I'm sending my order next week !

Got two of the C99 going right now. One is a more wider leaf bigger stemmed/bud plant and the other is lanky with more of a slim sativa leaf, branches all over the place structure. Lesser yielder than the fatter leaf pheno. How do you know which pheno is which. Can't say I've noticed a pineapple smell from either but the more sativa pheno def has a SWEETER smell. Like tropical fruits with sugar sprinkled on top. Maybe that's the pineapple pheno?

I got the pineapple pheno with one seed. Most plants I see from this line look pretty similar. Mine looks very close to st0ws and a few others I've seen. Extreme leaf serration. Thin blades. Stretchy with stretched out internodes. Tops are nice. Floppy.
Mine is extremely branchy and naturally forms a nice canopy without topping.
I like what I'm trying so far but it's too early to weigh in. It's good smoke. And a good line. I don't think anyone would be that unhappy with the end result.
I get the impression from my experience with this line - limited as it may be - and from what I've read - female seeds actually does real breeding with large numbers and good selection.
I had a few plants get spots of PM this run due to not superior health and genetics (basically most of my Holy Princesses - C99 notorious for PM problems and HP is a C99 dom hybrid). Anyway this FMS C99 wasn't perfectly healthy mid flower - started to get a bit deficient. Could do better, anyway, it got absolutely none despite being right beside a plant with it. That tells me something. It tells me they went out of there way to select to get rid of that problem. Just my VERY limited opinion based on a very small sample size.

What's the final report on the smoke og? I have one in flower now about 3 weeks, same deal lots of leaf serration and thin sativa leaves

I just pulled mine down, day 58 and she is starting to say pull me down. 48 hours of darkness for her just because I am backed up lol... but yeah I will pop the rest of my beans, I don't think there is anything that would win a cup so far but it is definitely fruity smelling.
Cindy at least for me, always finished 50-52 days-real brothers grimm stock.

Funny. So you're telling me people like stable strains and that those stable strains are nice smoke? Go figure. I get my shit ripped by everyone because I feel there is a difference between chucking for gold and breeding. I should just kill myself. 
In all fairness,in everyones defense, we are talking 16 years later -release/redo/reload of genetics. Unless someones holding original packs from heaven stairway, you going to have to take the breeders word on the redo of these genes. I know there are a few people out there that do have the originals on ice. Some of female seeds c99 do look legit but anything over 50-52 days isnt. Ive done multiples and she never hermied, always finished within those days. was not a big yielder either. sativa thin leaves never broad leaves. tall,lanky orange hairs on bud .

I haven't grown the original nor females release but from what I've read real C99 is, like you say, a 50 day strain for sure. Cheers man.

Super clear headed, motivational. Not overly strong, but really nice day time. I get stuff done on it all the time. Puts me in a good mood.
Ive grown all the bro grimm originals straight from the source. you can trust me on the times stated for flowering times on c99.
Although i dont have the originals anymore,though. Be great to get an authetic representation of her. apollo 11 was a real good one as well. matuska thunderfck auto flowered(super resinous),green giant was decent, and aurora borealis was great. of course there were also unidentified ones that were so sticky and wispy but excellent.

I have grown c99 for the last few years..I had some originals ..Bros Grimm I had stored in fridge for years...and I have grown Female Seeds strain also..they are not far apart...I grow them outside in a greenhouse....you can see them in my avi ...great strain and grows like a monster..bubs look like gum drop all sugar coated..very very sticky..I have hd bot the oineapple and grapefruit phenos...as said they dont stink till you brush them....I got close to 2lb of 1 plant and over a lb on the other...
smoke report....it has a very unique taste...spicy citrus...to fruity...smoooth ..feel effects on first hit...you get an upper high at first and then turns to a stone...every one like c99
Oh forgot...they were ready in 52-58 days...and a bitch trimming since its very sticky..makes great oil. also...

I will get some this year as I have some planted now...its a must grow plant yearly now...now a surprise...I crossed one last year...its a cross on C99 and TGA 9 pound hammer....I pollenated 1 branch and got 11 seeds..lol...the 9 pound was a fast finisher also so this will be interesting...
id love to get my hands on some real c99 again. been such a loooong time. ill have to sit back in the bleachers and watch I guess.Ill check for those nice bud pics when u get em. i wonder how that cross will work for ya...be interesting to say the least to see the results. i know he uses alot of c99 or romulan and some apollo 11 in his crosses.
