Feminized seeds or regular?

Ok so i have been reading quite a bit and alot of people say that feminized seeds have a high chance of going hermie? So i am stuck between getting some feminized or just getting some regular seeds and finding a mom. Do feminized seeds hermie often? Comments from people who have GROWN them would be great.

Ive grown many femed seeds and I've never hermied. IMO thats a rumor. Fem seeds are worth it if you know for sure the seeds will be fem and the site you buy it from is well trusted.

Id get regular seeds. You only need ONE seed to be female, you can take clones from it after that. Theres no reason to pay twice as much for seeds that have a higher chance of hermie. Get the cheaper seeds, and take clones. $0.02

I never heard of that? But I always go feminized so I know all my plants are worth all my time and money spent to grow them. A very Trusted site, just look at all they have to offer as some have lower prices than others on same strain just a different name. Dr Chronics Cannabis seeds bank

This is all false, it's fact that when you force fem'd seeds, albeit a recessive trait the hermi pheno is still there.

I'm only on my 2nd grow. I've helped friends on their first grows. All have used fem seeds. Out of 30 seeds purchased: 29 germed, 29 Females. Got about 1 seed per 40 grams of dried fem PPP. Although this could have just been a last ditch effort by the plant to reproduce. No male flowers were noted despite, the very mild seed formation in the PPP grow.

What I am saying is a fact, it's genetic science.

Edit: should note this is when a female is hermi'd in order to produce fem seeds.

I have used both and I prefer regular seeds. I have never had a fem seed become a cross dresser. However, I can't justify the price difference. I understand the time & material wasted on males but from my experience, the female/male % runs 60/40 in favor of females.

When I get new seeds I usually pop 3 and I ALWAYS get a female. Then I just start cloning the bejesus out of it and suddenly I am swimming in females. I understand the "need" for Fem seeds but that is more a personal preference than anything else.

Bottom line for me...I will buy regular seeds and clone as opposed to fem seeds. Good luck with your grow and your choice!

I've had some fem seeds go hermie and had some turn out ok. I'm going to say heat stress caused my last hermie (ventilation broke down). Regular seeds growing at the same time were ok.
