Feminized Seeds

The answers are not simple. I use fem seeds and I think it depends a lot on the strain and where you get them. Old strains are more stable and less prone to hermie. I use Northern Lights from Nirvana, and have never had one fail to germinate or be female. To me it is well worth a few bucks not to have to cull male plants.

But if I were growing this and that new strain and experimenting, I wouldn't go with fem seeds.

I've grown 3-5 grows a year for a long time and I always buy feminized seeds. Once in a great while I will
find a hermie developing as I harvest. It is not a big deal. The only way you can tell a plant has hermied,
in my case, is by finding little "proto" seeds in the harvested buds. I have yet to find a hermie that is mature
enough to pollinate any of my females. Far as I'm concerned the hermie objection to feminized seeds is
baseless.

If you get seeds out of a hermi that pollenated itself, will they be fem?
Yes but more likely to be hermie also.
I don't know if i agree with the "old" strains comment, but it is the first time i have ever heard it, and there may be something there.
But breeder is really key here go with a good one, i have lots of suggestions if you need them.
