I would keep it organic and top dress with worm castings or bat guano then just water.
i like this plus i would add Bone Meal its my new favorite weapon. keeping it organic will will make it super tasty. Even if you dont add nutes this grow eventually you should probably recondition that soil especially growing huge ass mama's like that,

G'Day to you all:) I've been reading and reading and just getting more confused.Since surviving colon cancer surgery I rejected the idea of chemo and radiation and started researching Cannabis Oil. Sourced product and made RSO. It seemed to do a number on any cancer that was in me.:) The latest Scans and blood work , after a year of NO TESTS and consuming the oil indicate NO Cancer. My surgeon says my blood counts are perfect and ,quote-"Gerry your colon is spotless".

Now I have taken another step and decided to grow my own to make oil for my wife's Fibro and a maintenance dose for myself. I'm 69 yrs old but I have NEVER grown pot before. All seems to be going well. The plants are thriving and it appears they may be ready to start budding. My question relates to FERTILIZER. My garden has NEVER had any ferts and we sucessfully grew vegatables in it year after year. There has been NO FERTILIZER aplied to these medicinal plants. Do I need to appy fertilizer? Some say yes-some say no. If needed ,what should I get? How often would i apply. I have added a few pics to this post that I took today. Thank you . Cheers:)
the soil is probably rich enough, plants look very happy and healthy.you could make it abit better by adding rock dust, but that stuff wont start working for a few months,so itll probably only benefit you future crops.you could top dress with some bat guano tho.or make a tea from guano and a little mollasses.

Thank you all so much for the replies. I will take all the advice and put it to use.I will not fertilize now but will get some organics ferts as suggested to have on hand. If they yield as well as our tomatoes and garlic did this year -I'll be a happy camper. :)

Thanks again for the replies. Another question. I had 2 more plants is cups that I stuck in the ground beside the others. TOO CLOSE cu they are growin like ' weeds"-no pun intended:) They are about 12-16 in high but being squeezed out by the others. I now have more room after removing a spent Zuchinni plant. Can i safely dig this plant up and move it a few feet?

Yield u guys r talking about yield the man has two wot 6 ft bushes for a first grow com on the last thing on this guy's mind is yield but as a few guys have mentioned it doesn't hurt to have some supplements in place and some pest control measures which I think inevitably u prob will need.....now I've said my piece I would now like to congratulate u for winning the ULTIMATE fight sadly I had a brother who succumbed to non hodgkiss lymphoma at the age of 22'''

So I looked at these plants this am with a loup and I see good things happening ,buds and trics starting to form :) I stopped at a hydroponic place and had a chat with a pretty good guy who seemed to know all about growing med cannabis. After re-iterating all I have said here and referring to all the comments received here--he suggested I apply a liquid organic fert -organic based compost solution-concentrate, called Pure Blend Tea made by Botanicare??Cotains seabird guana, earthworm castings ,kelp, fish meal. 0.5 nitrogen,.5 Phosphate,1%Soluable Potash.
Directions are 1-3 tablespoon to a gallon. He suggested I apply at a rate of 1 TBS per gallon to start and apply every other watering?? How does this sound?

Thanks again for all the encouraging comments. I added a cupful to them 3 days ago and added two cupfulls today while watering. Here's a few shots from this AM
The one on the left is a Blueberry. Looks good to me and the buds are growin nicely. The one on the right is supposed to be a CHEESE? On this one I don't see bud forming anAug 30 2014.JPG Aug 30 2014 (12).JPG Aug 30 2014 (9).JPG ywhere. I'm guessing that diff strains have diff growing/maturing times???

Lovely looking plants! They're about as healthy as you can get plants to be IMO.

Flowering times can certainly differ between strains, and even in pheno's, so just give it time and she'll flower when she's ready.

Best of luck.

Hi Guys. Thanks for the info on the CHEESE Greenhouse;save In the pics below you can see the Cheese I referred to Seems to have sprung alive more since I thinned it out. Small low one is Blueberry where some large colas heve been chopped already. The ones that are really thinned out are spose to be Pineapple Kush?

Nobody said cow shit. Composted cow manure have everything your plant needs. you might want to stake up the branches so they dont break . a lot of folks will throw a net over them to keep the branches from sagging and breaking. Keep using it even though you are cancer free as a preventative measure. You should check out the frenchy cannoli hash thread in the organics sub forum. Imo its the best way to get a concentrate.

I agree on the manure DR.P as I have been topping my veg garden for years with it in the fall .I do it as the last step in the garden wrap up along with all scrap veg matter from the kitchen all year.
